    Who's Ditching BF2? For Crysis?

Unfortunately, when Crysis arrives in 4 days time, i will be uninstalling BF2 and mods. Both have served me well for the past 29 months staying up all night on Friday to play the demo on oman. Having had to wait 2 hours for it to download i went to watch some tv and Old School was on. A mate had cycled 6 miles to get the new demo as his net wasn't fast enough so watched Will Ferrell with me and we LOAO at it. BF2 demo finished and it was2am. Mate got back to his at 3am and we hammered the demo until the next evening.

If Crysis gives me as much pleasure as BF2 did then the next two years will be very nice :)

Thanks to all whoever visted our BF2 and/or MOD servers. We really appreciated it and look forward to seeing familiar names on our Crysis servers.

Thanks Total for expanding and allowing me to continue my connection with fellow gamers. See you all on the other side.

Personally I didn't like the Crysis demo at all. To be honest, unless you have an 8800 it looks terrible, because any graphics setting below High makes the game look like it came out in 04. I'll probably get it around Christmas time when I upgrade to the 8800GT, COD 4 is taking up my time now. (great game)

BF2 has been the best game I have ever played. Belonging to a clan that had as much excitement and dedication to the game as I did was brilliant. All though I may slag it off now, BF2 is what introduced me to gaming and the experience of a clan member. Sadly BF2 has slowly died off, to games containing better graphics and physics, but do these games have the same enjoyment and emotion as BF2 did?

If I’m honest, I can’t see Crysis as a replacement to BF2 nor can it be a clan based game.

All the best though Chef with the movement of your clan.

I haven't played bf2 for a month. Does that mean that I ditched it?

Well, if you think BF2 has problems... Crysis was the buggest thing I have ever played, and its already been hacked out.

I'm really tired of all these "Ditching BF2" threads. I'm probably getting CoD4 but that doesn't mean I'm leaving BF2 forever. If you really hate this game so much than "ditch it" already and stop posting about how you want to.

Fo rly? BF2 is easily the glitchiest, ****tiest hitboxes and most god awfully bugged game I've ever played.

                    BF1942 ftw!

                    BF1942 > BF2

BF2 isn't dieing anytime soon. Watch the numbers on game monitor on prime nights....COD4 had 16,000+ players, TF2 had just a little less....and BF2 had over 22,000 players. So even if Crysis hits paydirt which I don't think it will...BF2, for whatever reason, is going to be around for a while. If anything, most people can play the game now with high graphics and smooth gameplay.

And for those that whine about the hitboxes....enable Vsync in your graphics options. BF2 servers only put out 60FPS. Trust me on this.

EDIT: As of right now, COD4 has 26K+ and BF2 has 24K+! So what does that tell you? There isn't a mass exodus from BF2 despite these new games. In fact, BF2 numbers are on the rise...which I find hard to believe.

well the way I see it. Noobs like to hack, "1337 GFX" attract noobs more then people who care about gameplay, Crysis equals good graphics. I don't think I will like the community that much.

Bf2 will still own my time for a while. I liked the Crysis Demo, but I can't run it on superb settings.

The first couple times I played the Crysis Demo, I really wasn't all that impressed. But after a while, it really got better, and now I can say I do really like it. Thing is, the demo won't be much like the whole game, and for sure, nothing like the Multi-Player. I like the team play of BF2, I like dropping into a server, joining up with players I have never seen before, and playing as if we do it alot. Oh, I am going to buy and play Crysis, but if the Multi-Player turns out to be a bunch of guys running around shooting each other, you can bet, I'll be going back to BF2. I see alot of my XFire friends playing COD4, but I really didn't like that demo, but even still, I can see other games slowly replacing BF2. It won't be as soon as these games come out though.
