I've been playing the Crysis multiplayer beta for the past few days. The other night I was playing and though "Wow, this game reminds me a lot of BF2. Now that I think of it... I think I'm going to go play it." so I closed crysis and started playing BF2 :)

The "power struggle" in crysis is fun at times, but the amount of hackers (even though it's just the beta, there are sooo many hackers that it's hard to think about what the real game will be like) makes the game really annoying.

Hackers aren't the only annoying thing. The sniper rifles reload faster than in BF2 and can 1 hit kill (depending on where you hit them, and trust me, it's A LOT easier to 1 hit kill in crysis than in BF2) even when they're wearing their armor suit. The rocket launchers vs infantry in crysis is 12948i23095782385907235 times worse than in BF2. The rockets go much faster, so it's almost impossible to dodge them (unlike bf2) and you can shoot it 5 feet infront of you and you won't die. If it wasn't for the fact that you have to actually buy the weapons (buy them with money you get from capturing bases and killing people. The weapons disappear after you die, so you have to keep rebuying everything) then snipers and rocket launchers would be the only weapons used.

1 thing I did like in crysis, that isn't possible in BF2, is when a vehicle is coming at you to run you over, you go in strength mode and you can jump way over the car. Then, since the car is going full speed at you, he'll crash into a wall and most likely blow up.

Crysis' main attraction is the singleplayer campaign.

Bought COD4 for the MP and Crysis for SP... I f*cking WIN.

Both have served me well for the past 29 months staying up all night on Friday to play the demo on oman. Having had to wait 2 hours for it to download i went to watch some tv and Old School was on. A mate had cycled 6 miles to get the new demo as his net wasn't fast enough so watched Will Ferrell with me and we LOAO at it. BF2 demo finished and it was2am. Mate got back to his at 3am and we hammered the demo until the next evening.

If Crysis gives me as much pleasure as BF2 did then the next two years will be very nice :)

Thanks to all whoever visted our BF2 and/or MOD servers. We really appreciated it and look forward to seeing familiar names on our Crysis servers.

Thanks Total for expanding and allowing me to continue my connection with fellow gamers. See you all on the other side.

I never really understood how people can decide to leave one game for another game that hasn't even been released? I mean, how do you know how the new game is gonna be? Yes, of course you can try the demo, but who knows how the full version will be, how the community will be, how the bugs will be, how the maps and gameplay will be?

But either way, good luck with whatever you decide to do!

Personally I haven't seen anything that comes even close to the BF2 gameplay, so I'll be sticking around for quite a while...

^^ well i think the demo can give you a hint anyway , but i agree with what your saying.

the new cod4 & cyrsis just dont turn me on except for the graphics, i think there good graphics.

all they hype over crysis, its a farCry game coupled with FEAR and a little bit of GRAW.

Each his own though, alot like that , good for them.

Lol I wasn't gonna dump BF2 for Crysis but I did buy Crysis today and the pile of cr*p won' even run. I don't mean my system isn't powerful enough it is by more than enough what I mean is I stick the disc in the drive, close the drive and then sit there whilst the drive clicks aimlessly trying to run the auto run program. Pathetic

Ditching bf2 makes sense, ditching bf2 for another similar game would be dealing with the same old sh!t just in a different dimension lol. I stopped playing bf2 about a month ago and I have no regrets at all so far. Somehow I still keep checking this forum, since I do it from work and doesn't seem like such a big waste of time like spending my free time sitting home and playing.

Whine? It's amazing how you can read my emotions simply by reading internet post. To answer your question, I'm still here because I wanna see how low can the humans devolve, and btw I log in from work as I already said. Speaking about eddy, what happened to him?

Intresting, since I made no mention of the fact that

a). The drive is from a well respected manufacturer and has had numerous good reviews

                                b). Is four months old
c). Runs every game I own flawlessly and without delay and that includes a badly scratched F.E.A.R disc
d). Other folk at the Crysis forums are having the same problem

I would provide a link but surprise surprise the forums aren't even working now

Using basic deductive logic that means that the fault lies with the previously aforementioned pile of cr*p that is the Crysis disc. Doesn't matter it's getting returned tomorrow and a copy of Assassin Creed bought instead.
