maps already getting old???

We switched our server from Headquarters to Domination last night and I really like both. Domination was completely fun coming from a Battlefield background because it is very similar to IO only mode game play with lots of flag hopping.

I'm looking forward to the maps the community will submit over time. CoD2 was awesome as far as community map creation. CoD4 looks and plays great, so when the community starts pumping out new maps I can see a good future for the MP aspect of the game.

Custom maps are going to rule...and I think will totally give this game some very healthy longevity in MP.

Can anyone tell me how mapping worked out for the past CoDs? Did the dev team release an official editor, or did some wizard manage to make a 3rd party editor (like battlefield 2)?

yes, they are extremely small, made for 6v6. blame consoles for this.

I don't think that the maps are getting old.

Only thing what bothers me, is that the point limit is too small(TDM). It doesn't take long to get those 750 points, especially in full server.

I still haven't found a server with custom point limit....

They are out there...I've seen a few folks on the IW.com forums asking about how to properly configure them (ie. to not exceed the limit for a ranked server, etc).

I did find the (my)first TDM with 2000 points limit... I have been playing there for the past 2.5 hours

Ranked servers are allowed a certain point range limit too. They don't all have to be exactly the same/default.

For points, try headquarters, the kind where you have to defend, not the instant going to the next one. Points flow in and it's sooo fun.
