lol, doesn't matter if the game swears, I think the people playing swear more than anything.

What really makes it a swear word to start with. Whats so different than saying the word s**t as opposed to the word doodoo. They both mean the same things so why should one be considered worse than the other one. Same with damn and darn. Why is one thought of as a curse word and one is not. It's society.

And the reason why one is worse than the other is because they mean different things. Sure, they may sound the same, but it's what they mean that makes them offensive.

No, I do not let my kids in the room with me when i play games that involve violence. But they don't have to be in the room to hear...

yeah really. You cant shield your kids from swearing - they'll hear it at school anyways. Teaching them to tolerate violence ( as long as its a "bad guy" ) is somewhat messed up.

4 and 6 and let me tell you they will get more than enough of the language at school. So just because they hear it there doesn't mean they need to hear it at home. We teach our children to respect others and to be nice. Swearing in most cases is neither. So whither or not they hear it at school is not the questions. If i teach them what is correct at home and what is appropriate and not then they will know that that is not appropriate anywhere school, home, work.

I realy am happy to hear somebody else besides me cares about this, I'm totally desinsitized,and I wish I wasn't (Yes Brothers in Arms:RTH30 is where it started).

I know I curse alot on forums, but I wish I didn't, sometimes it just lets loose, especially since there isn't that "human" apsect to internet.

Anyways, I'm glad to hear you're concerned, and I doubt there will be anything worse then the D word, but there won't be any F-bombs, or bad stuff like that, I have the french version of COD2, and there aint one bad word, so I hope the COD4 french version will be the same, but with added blood/gore

I applaud you for asking. It shows that you care about your kids. I'm also a gamer dad and I try to minimize what I expose my children to. That's why there is no WoW or Hellgate or anything else demonic or scary on my computer. I bought Bioshock and then didn't play it very much because I didn't feel I could play it with my kids around.

I also game in the living room so I can be with my family as much as possible vs. locking myself up in the back room and having my family resent my hobby.

Thanks Bradley, My family is the most important thing to me in this world and i see other kids and how they act and treat people in this world and i am glad my wife and i have chosen to teach our children to respect other no matter if they are a clerk at walmart or a CEO of a bank we are all people and deserve respect.

If you're under 17 and the game has an M rating, it is considered unsuitable for you.

Might I suggest you get a set of headphones. Thats what I did, that way iy a stray curse words pops out Im the only one who hears it. I have kids too but I bet they talk worse than the people in the game (the youngest twin boys are 22). Yes Im that old, sigh. . . . . . . .Red
