ESRB is not legally enforced, therefore me being under 17 and owning CoD4 is considered nothing legally. And even if it were, who is the law to tell me what video games I can play?

Well the people that sold you the game can infact get fined for doing just that, selling a M rated game to someone under 17.

I'm pretty sure that's not true in North Carolina. But even if it were my dad went and got it for me (I still payed for it) anyway so it doesn't matter.

Well I finished the campaign, and the worst words I heard were s**t and b**ch, and the most violent part is where a guy puts a pistol to his head and... boom. You also can snap attack dogs' necks if they attack you.

I would use headphones if you have small children.
