Ya you r right about that. But I was thinking more about when people turn there pod upside down and fly all around the map. I am sure that dice knows, what the farthest you can pod is. They could just add a little cushion in there and all is fixed.

The solution is not to blwo the pod up but to disable any pod movement other than what was actually intended, thx EA :)

I don't think that dice ever had the intention of people being able to move the pods that much. Players just found a way to exploit the physics of the game.

Yeah, so Dice/EA should go and find what they screwed up and fix it, not make it legal :S

Yea and what about those devoted players in the transport that fly up 500 feet in the air so we can pod to any silo?

I'm always curious as to what pod surfing entails. Is it using your pod to move like 80 or 100 feet, or using your pod to move 5-10 feet? or both? Personally I think it's ignorant to pod surf to actually get somewhere, but If I put a beacon down, and it's being camped, I move a couple feet away from the beacon so I can come down far enough away from the campers.

I guess I don't think of it as a problem if you aren't moving in a manner that gets you further along in the map than you would be on foot in the same time, I think DICE agrees with me, that's why they allow you to move your pod in the new patch to get onto roofs. What do you all think though?

i think the losing health one is the best sollution for pod surfers but on youtube theres an instructional vid on how to do it (you didnt heard it from me and ive never watched it)

The way things have gone in the past, i don't see anything wrong with fixing it like they are fixing it (i oughta try the BETA to see how it really works though).

I mean improving the old way is better than changing the way it works completely, testing it for another month, and then finding out a week after the official release, that there's some unforseen drawbacks/bugs/exploit possibilities in the new feature.

Thats not to say there's good suggestions here too.
Sorry If my original post is misleading. I'm not really saying that the solution they chose was bad, it brings new things to the game. Considering how boring the game has gotten lately I'm up for anything new. At least for another 5 days.

Yes, indeed... what the title of this topic should be is this:
