I've come to the conclusion that you people are very sad, I've seen SO many threads where people say "bf2 sucks but theres nothing else, im just waiting for "some game thats going to come out" and when that game comes out, they buy it, go "ZOMG THIS ROX TEH BIG ONE11!11!oneshift!" for the first few days than quit, and start playing Battlefield2 again, the game you said sucked *** and was the worst and you werent going to play it anymore after the ****ty game comes out. This has proven true with 2142,Quake Wars and many other "UBER BETTAR" games that'll be coming out Fuel of War (which I think actually looks interesting), UT3 and I'll bet you guys will all be back here to CRY like little girls about battlefield 2 again after you supposedly were going to quit it when something "so much better" comes out and it turns out to be boring and dull in comparison to Bf2. I know everyone is entitled to their opinion but if I wanted to come to a forum based on bf2 to hear people cry about how much Bf2 sucks, about the "hackers" and how everything about the game is ****ed up I'd goto Bf2s, not here. -_- Jesus....

never been to bf2s...but i am still a sergant and i absolutley love BF2...only thing that annoys me about it is the "Lost Connection" thing...but thats now fixed thanks to alex...but even so i dont recall even once complaining about it ;D -

I think that being a forum, there is a tendency to complain about an issue you had on a server, rather than recall a great squad v squad battle on Sharqi. You have to remember that while some members complain about it, overall they've spent hundreds of hours on BF2.
And if it wasn't that great of a game to begin with, they wouldn't have stayed with it or even complained. I think they complain about hackers/lost connection because they enjoy their game, and don't want it being ruined/disabled.
Most people wouldn't bother to post on a forum about a truly ****ty game. They just wouldn't buy it.Comment

You don't like Bf2 then don't play it. All these games that people say will destroy BF2 always come up short. Bf2142, Quake wars, and many mods were said to be the end of vanilla bf2 but after 2 years the community remains strong.Comment

...unless you have been playing Quake Wars beta every single day- non stop, have been a Unreal, ET fan from the very start, only play BF2 from time to time to take the p*ss out of people and just TK when with friends (not play seriously). I`m all that so...
People will come back from games that just aren`t what they`re used to (the genre), or if BF2 is the only PC game they`ve ever played.
Good thing I`m not like that.
Blame all the magazines and gaming sites for calling games BF2 killers, games which ain`t even remotely like BF2. Just like with QW, it was never ment to be like BF2 or it`s killer. Just some asshat decided to put BF2 KILLAH on his preview without even knowing anything about the previous ET or what the game is going to be about.Comment

Sadly Battlefield 2 is still my favorite First Person Shooter.
I just can't go back to Counter-Strike: Source, the atmosphere is anal retentive to the 3rd degree.

The only thing that BF2 has over others, is its status as the only one on the market. Nevermind the clones, BF2142 was just stupid. The only game that I really saw to rival BF2 was ArmA, but that game was realistic and was meant for a whole different type of a player. The ONLY game to actually take the fight to BF2 is ETQW, and its not out yet.
Out of all the people I used to play with, only a limited ammount of them play the game. Handful at best. Some like to play games and cant find anything else than BF2, some see theres nothing to play and dont play it. I hybernate and thank fvck ET is coming out, but even then, theres hope when more and more games come out.
What killed BF2 are stats and stat obsessed whiny kids that DICE listened to. If any developer learns from that mistake, they got me as a fan.Comment
