The grenade launcher is a fairly difficult weapon to use in most normal situations. The reasoning is simple; if you miss, you run or you die. It takes too long to reload, and it takes too long to switch guns. So if you haven't got cover, you better be looking for it.

The only time it's 'easy' to use, is when you're in close corridors, where the shots can easily ricochet off of the walls to hit their intended targets at medium to close ranges.

Still, even doing that is not as easy as it sounds. Lining up shots can be annoying. It's a 'feeling' thing... kind of like lining up a golf shot. You're never guaranteed that your grenade will go where you intend it to.

Most people are bitter about the Grenade Launcher, because of it's shady past. Sadly; it'll never rebound. The memory of thousands of n00b-tubers running around blasting each other remains.

Of course... I don't see why so many losers whine about me using the Grenade Launcher, when they've yet to play anything but the Medic. I'm giving up my ability to heal, and revive for that n00b-tube you know. So, if I manage to rack up more kills to earn me a higher point average than they do as a revive spamming medic then they have no right to call me unskilled. If anything; it's the whiners who lack that certain quality, since they fail to understand that it's easy to avoid a grenade launcher.

Of course, they'll have to strafe, use cover properly and occasionally bunny hopping instead of instinctively instant proning at every encounter like a sheep. Not to mention they'll have to use their brain to avoid anything that might be usable for ricocheting like a wall or a ledge... but, yeah... I'm the one who lacks skill for using a weapon that is difficult to use, but oh so rewarding when used right. I guess I should apologize to everybody who thinks that BF2 should be a Counter-strike like game of Medic versus Medic.

i like grenade launchers - i cant use them, but to me id rather die of an enemy nade-launching me than someone who spams nades at me till i die x_x

You let a monkey practice the noob tube long enough and he'll become an expert. Not ever getting into it was a matter of a general principle for me, among some other things as well, like medic whoring on Karkand, or the retarded bunny hopping for instance.

If you decide not to use a certain weapon in the game then fine, thats up to you. But don't look down on other people for using it.

Anyway brown nosing your buddy Nicfurious (assuming it's the same one since there are 5 of them)can maybe get you some free lessons by him on using the noob tube so you can become expert too.

Thats quite an ignorant and pathetic way to view things Vlade. From that point of view I can say ANY gun you use takes no skill because you will become good with it using practice. Your supposed principles are merely a pathetic excuse as to why you suck with the grenade launcher. Also, I don't know Nicfurious but I just couldn't stand seeing a good player getting bashed by a bad one with a swollen ego. I can tell you're ego is swollen from the way you type, you claim this thread didn't deserve any more attention yet you come crawling back to defend your precious reputation, that and you seem to think your better than me and other people, sorry to break it to you bud but any time you want to come and fight me on Bf2 let me know, I'll knock you back down to where you belong, at the bottom of the foodchain. i didnt get the gold but i sure as hell didnt have 45 team points either,im sure my score could have been better with medic but i need those 100 hrs for assault,DAMN i just realized if i had the 100 hrs i had over the 40 kills needed!oh well

and yes, i did better than a 4 star general

he was sitting on a roof at plaza the whole time with the svd sniping anyone who paradropped in from,easy stuff to do with the svd but i usually manage 3 kills or so with the ak101.

As a side note: It's really innacurate to have the SAS use the FN2000 has it's standard assault rifle. It should've been either the M16A2, or the S80 from the Euro force booster pack, since those are the two weapons that are used by the UK armed forces. Instead DICE gave them a French made weapon, as if the British would actually ever use weapons made in that country.
