Re: i hate how sniper doesnt kill with one hit
you forgot to add that the M95 does 90 damage to unarmoured and armour infatry, so on inf only, when some is more or less damaged, ull get the killThe M95 is not the most accurate sniper rifle, nor is it the most damaging. It does have the ability to shoot through cockpit glass, and that may be the reason that some damage numbers for the weapon show higher than the M24, but in actual practice it does the same damage to a player as the M24, requiring two hits to the torso to kill (or one head shot)
Accuracy-wise, it is functionally the same as the SVD/Type 88, though the “bullet drop” factor at longer ranges may give the M95 an edge with longer shots. While bullet drop has been confirmed, no data on how this is applied is available.
The M95 is a solid choice for MEC/PLA snipers as an unlock, as it gives them more damage per shot than the standard sniper rifle, and can be a good choice for the USMC player as well, if the need for shooting aircraft crew is important. It should be noted, however, that hitting a moving helicopter or jet crewman with an M95 is extremely rare.
It does have a drawback at long ranges, the width of the crosshairs in the scope make it more difficult to line up head shots than any of the other sniper rifles.Comment

Re: i hate how sniper doesnt kill with one hit

Re: i hate how sniper doesnt kill with one hit
i already did :)
Originally posted by Verzilisorry annii the info is not accurate,
the reason the m95 has 190 damage is due to the fact its .50 cal and can blow a chopper up in 10 shots,if you aim at the cockpit, (a m24 or l96a1 cant do this)
try shooting a J10 with a m95 in a empty server you will be surprised(aim at cockpit)
the m95 will take all infantry to 2 bars of heath with a body shot..
m24/l96a1 only take unarmored infantry down to 2 bars, its something like 60% damage to a armored infantry player (assault )
the l96a1 does not have the same power as the m95 either.
the l96a1 is the same as the m24 damage wise,l96a1 has thiner cross hair and a slightly faster reload time than the m24.
as for the semi-auto sniper rifle's it takes 3 shots to the body to kill unarmored infantry and 4 to kill armored infantry.
dont think im trying to get at you annii ,but you got them quotes from a unreliable source.
just clearing it a bit for you so you know what the real facts are.

Sniper Rifles
Sniper Rifles are the most accurate infantry weapons in the world. Used by only the most skilled of marksman, they can take down an enemy from huge ranges not possible with a normal Assault Rifle. Sniper Rifles are Single Shot, bolt action weapons so you need to cycle the bolt each time you fire. A marksman needs to take into account the drop of the bullet over extreme distances in order to maintain lethal accuracy.
Important: Sniper Rifles in Project Reality are "zeroed" at 600m. With the BF2 engine this means that you will only have to compensate for the bullets trajectory at distances greater than this.

The L115A1 long range rifle (LRR) is high accuracy bolt-action sniper system based on the Accuracy International AWM rifle, which supersedes the standard L96A1 sniper rifle in power, accuracy and range. The L115A1 fires a heavier .338 Lapua / 8.59mm cartridge, designed to maintain velocity over long ranges, delivering accurate point fire out to 1100m.

Re: i hate how sniper doesnt kill with one hit
Sniper rifles are only effective when your 700+ meters away from ppl in PR. Hell, i can probably kill a guy easier with the SVD/Type 88 than with a sniper rifle at <600 meters.
God i cant wait till 0.7! This map is gonna be so awesomeComment

The one who needs to shut up is you. What a freaking jerk, honestly.Originally posted by p-n*Cynic~GunnerYou're retarded. The M95, M24, and L96A1 do the same damage (95%) to anybody without armor. Only with armor does the M95 have an advantage, but it really doesn't make a difference because all 3 still take 2 shots to kill somebody unless it's a headshot.
The Type 88 and SVD do 45% damage.
There is no M96.
Go uninstall BF2 please, or shut the **** up about stuff you know nothing about.

He just gets passionate about rifle statistics apparently. I corrected myself the next post. (I think that post was towards me, unless he's kept up his antics)Comment

Re: i hate how sniper doesnt kill with one hit
The advantage with the M95 is that someone only has to have lost 2 bars with armour. So a bit of granade damage, or falling off a building etc... Situations where using the other rifles would still leave them with health.Comment
