performance issue

right i went to play bf2 for the first time in a while, all loaded up fine and played for abit, but then i could hardly move because of how much it was jumping around, i thought it may have just been a rly bad case of lag so i went onto a single player game and it done the same, the only time it doesnt do it is when i turn all the settings to low. please help me.

i have the 1.3 patch
AMD Athlon 3200+ 2.0 GHz
ATI radeon 9600 256mb GPU and
one gig of RAM

i used to be able to run with a few settings on high.
any help would be much appretiated

do u have the 1.3 patch? i found that to kill some of my performance because i use to run medium textures/effects with little stuttering unless im in the middle of a huge firefight but now if i turn up those settings i get alot of stuttering so im back to all low

Yes, he mentioned that he has the v1.3 patch on the bottom of his post. Do you have any other computers on ? I have suggested this to a lot of people since I have 2 computers and I cant have the other one running or I will lag. If that doesnt work play on LOW Settings wait for the v1.4 patch and see if that helps you.=)

i only have one computer so its not that, ive scanned for viruses n spyware but no changes, ive even overclocked my comp a bit to see if it would make any difference but no. could it be caused by the 1.3 patch coz a few ppl say they have trouble with it, just have to wait for 1.4 n keep my fingers crossed. thnx for your help guys
