That's why I now play on 32 player 64 size maps. Less peeps to worry about getting in my chopper.

i just love how you all use the stance that its "your" chopper, how is it your chopper? are you paying for the server?

you sound like little kids fighting over toys in preschool. theres way to much stuff to do in this game to sit around griefing over a freaking vehicle, go get some god damn flags and actually help your team if you think your such hot sh!t.......

Negative. You've had two years, beginner instructions voiced during initial playing time, local servers, unranked servers and near-empty ranked servers to learn the fine arts. Your failure to do so in no way obligates any of us to babysit you through the process.

I'm sure that even the worst gunner in the world can hit at least something. Any gunner is still better than no gunner, even if they can't use the TV missile. Neither can you while you are piloting.

i remember a soloer told me to get out, i wouldnt, he got out and tried to m95 me so i jumped in to pilot seat and spun the chopper around till take off and picked up team mate and flew away. he was pissed teehee

I'm with you, except when he's a 3-star and knows right where to be to get in... Then he's (or she's, ha, ha, rofl) probably the one in twenty you see in a pub who knows what to do with a TV. The pilots who know how to make other TVers and jets miss, spot targets on the HUD, present targets for TV shots, and have situational awareness are a lot rarer. You never know, it might be someone like RocketChild...

Nothing peppers my *** more than when Im spotting OVER and OVER and OVER "Enemy Helicopter Spotted" and the noob pilot wants to put our backs to the enemy helo and CAP A FLAG!!!! OMG WTF ARE YOU DOIN IDIOT!?!?!?!
Ive even tried telling them on voip, or even launch a TV and guide it the best I can 180 degress around us to try and get their attention......but noooo Im soon greeted with the wrath of the enemy TV missle with a shot that a noob could have made because my NOOB pilot was sitting there on top the flag pole while he thinks to himself "I bet my gunner is impressed with how steady and motionless I can hover here while capping this all so important flag"

Hey, if you want to learn, good for you, but don't punish other players while you do it... Use single-player and empty servers to practice up to at least the point where you have some basic skills. It hurts the whole team when some raw recruit wants to go for ride to see what it's like...

see the thing is, these "new recruits" you mention see that your in a helo and your sporting a 25-2 kdr or better and they see that and think to themselves "HEY thats what I need to do, GET IN THE CHOPPER so I can rack up some uber leet amount of points"
then get in, refuse to get out, and then dont have the faintest clue wtf to do........when what they SHOULD do is go to an empty server and practice, thats what I did, I bet I got more than 10 hours logged into empty servers with the helo parked on top some mountain top and launching the TV missle in all different directions so I can get a better feel for it

There is no substitute for actual play time. TVing choppers and tanks controlled by AI with no lag is far easier than TVing a self-aware target on a networked game.

I enjoy soloing. Its hard to do on a mostly full server, though, and I often find myself in a position of choosing to gun for a pilot that doesnt know about the TV/where to point it/that there are other chopper/jets in the air or to pilot for someone that *may* know about the TV and definitely knows about the chaingun. In those instances, I pilot and let the guy work on his TVing. At the least he can get some chaingun kills in on infantry while I hit the tanks and dodge the J10s.

Practice is good and all. I have practiced. I miss. It is easier to gun, though, for a pilot that doesnt get all diva about the misses. Then I hit more.

Right. So take away the first portion of my comment and you're still left with enough to ask the fans to stay in their seats away from the pros. :)

You can easily master the TVing of ground targets by playing singleplayer. Attack helicopters, on the other hand, must be learned online with friends or on a random server: for that, you can join near empty servers to practice. Hindering us isn't the solution. :)

I remember a guy drove out of bounds once, I died but he stayed alive. Not sure what kit did he use but clearly not medic since I heal my teammate out of bounds. No idea but I consider myself a good gunner

No, if you do solo you can TV choppers/tanks/infantry, hell even jets.
Now, if you have a n@@b gunner he cant hit **** and you just keep dieing. So how is it better?

I like to do the circle of death move with the nose of the helo pinned tight to the helo pad/carrier.......a true noob will jump out in a heart beat because he thinks you will crash, he jumps out and I fly away, if he doesnt jump out I crash it anyways then tk him before the helo respawns......dirty I know but he deserved it
