I high everything turned on high and my resolution is just 1024x760 refresh rate @ 60. And w/e the antialaising crap is it's off when I try turning it on to like 4x it says game must be restarted to take affect so I restart and it still stays on the OFF position but anyways I dont think that would affect my graphics. Here is a picture of me in-game. My only question is "Does it look good? Are my graphics good?"

Turn AA on, the jaggy edges make it look like c*ap.

Do you think a Foxconn 7900GS can run Battlefield 2 AA on Max? If not, what setting do you think it should be at?

Judging by the cons displayed on that link I would say get a different brand.
Possibly save up your money and wait until next generation(DX10)cards fall within your price range.

What do you mean by judging by the cons? Foxconn is a very popular manufacture in Taiwan, hell alot of NVIDIA graphic card board came from that manufature. So who would you believe more in the overclocking card, the guy who paid someone to make the card, or the people who make the card?

Also why the hell would I want to save up my money for another 3-4 months, when I'm soon going to start building my PC, since I currently have an AGP FX5200 and I wanna DESPERATELY upgrade it. And FYI, I already know that 8900 will be coming out, and that alot of the DirectX10 graphic card would be dropping.

What do you mean by judging by the cons?

Well, I have no real idea about that manufacturer. On that site the cons read that some persons card caught on fire. That doesn't sound to good to me, although it most likely was user error.

Why are you so defensive and combative in your posts? Do you have something to prove? Easily irritated?

Why wait 3-4 months like you say? Well, If you can't figure that out then you deserve what you get. Over priced cards that you could get a lot cheaper after christmas. But its your money do whatever the hell you want with it. And if you got some to burn then by all means waste your money.

Because while a 7900GS is good now, it has no DX10 support.

Atleast get an 8600, about the same as a 7900GS, but with DX10. Can't go wrong.

a nvidia is a nvidia, the gpus are all the same, manufacture doesn't really matter, they all come from the same die set, same thing with ati. as for the 2x aa and all maxed it really depends on the resolution. i would say proboly not for anything more than 1280x1024 and you may want to turn the dynamic lighting and shadows to low too just to preserver good fps.

I run 1650X1028 with 4AA, everything maxed except for textures (set to medium), and I usually have 30-40FPS with my 7900GS

That might seem laggy to someone who's used to 150, such as yourself

thats very good. i just always try to tell people from a conservative point trying to keep the best fps, i just see too many people cranking eye candy but sacrificing crucial fps, that dynamic lighting and shadows are hog but im not saying turn it all off, theres nothing worse than someone with a great system running on the lowest settings in order to see the enemy better, just know your limits.

It's pretty good but try resulution on 1280x1024 or Anti-Aliasing bit higer.

It really is physically laggy. Put down the AA to 2x and put the Textures up, 4xAA does take a large hit on performance.

But going from 200fps (high in the sky) to 50-60 (going to bomb) makes me cringe, absolutely horrid.

Does anyone else find their PC crawls to a halt when looking at a sniper?

An on topic question. Power has thrown a lot of "choose native reso" around, what does it mean and how is it useful? Native as in, same reso as the screen has at the moment (not being in game)?

At the moment, Im running 1280X800 on a laptops LCD screen. The settings in BF2 are standard 800X600 and 1024X768 only. Would it be useful for me to try to tweak some con files, or? I dont really have a problem with perfomance. All on MED/HI, but Im not using AA as Ive found a good medium between perf/eyecandy.
