In SWAT4, during the M4 reloading animation, the forward assist knob isnt being pushed. Instead a button on the left side of the magazine well is being pushed. Any comments on that?

Magazine release is on the right hand side. The BOLT-CATCH-RELEASE is on the left hand side.
This is something that has to be set when you take the rifle apart. If the bolt-catch isn't activated, the bolt will not stay open after firing the last round. It can be turned off, but I believe most soldiers have it where it stays open.

It is not on the right side. There are seldom rifles in the world with it on the right. It is on the left.
Need I post any more pictures? You sir, are a fool and should do some research before you openly flame someone like you did in your post. The reason why the release catch is on the left is so you don't accidentally trigger it with your trigger finger. On many rifles there are few things on the right hand side so you don't catch them by accident in the heat of combat.
