As a sniper, you should have at least a 50% accuracy. Now that is my personal opinion but still, that means one out of every two shots should make contact. So even if you just nick the person, they are going to get laid out a minute later by some random assault rifle.

Sorry my friend, but this is inaccurate since there are actually 'two' kinds of snipers in BF2.

This is the type of sniper who should have a high accuracy, because his round in spent in solitude, picking off easy or important targets from a long distance.

As a designated Marksman, I find it completely impossible to worry about my accuracy rating, when I have bullets and grenades flying my way. Instead, I worry about quickly getting a head-shot, or I worry about plugging them once in the chest so I can finish them with my pistol.

Both are hard to do in the middle of a gunfight.

W/l ratio? most of the people with higher stats have higher W/L ratios as well. Experience plays a huge role in how good you are and sniper is not as experienced as lets say patriots. Stats do mean something.

I was very impressed, dairuka prooved to be a very, very effective sniper. I wont doubt snipers again, just %99.9 of the users :p.

to the OP.....your stats are horrible, but you dont play often enough so I wouldnt worry about it

now if your stats were as bad as mine and you played as much as I do then you may want to worry

you'd be surpirsed how your overall accuracy drops once you REALLY start playing in aircraft, every missed bullet from the cannon of a jet or MG on a helo counts against you so it drops significantly, IO players SHOULD generally have a higher accuracy

You know, we played the other day and he seemed 'ok'. I could see that he needed to tune up his movement style. I noticed that people could 'get the drop' on him more than he could other people.

I am sure this is where he is going to post the pic of him knifing me when he got team switched...funny how I took the gold star that round too. Should have screen shot that 30 point lead.

Thats why I use cover to make up for my shortcomings.
