Well it seems just like in the game most people here actually enjoy jihad jeep'in. No offense but thats a cheap kill. You suck. After reading the responses its clear that people jihad jeep to piss others off, be bad sports, and amuse themselves rather than play the game for real.

As far as me deserving to die because I cant shoot a jeep, hey, I have blown up many jeeps trying to get close but its not that easy to do for me. I was hoping for some good avoidance tactics, but obviously there are not any to be had. When someone is willing to die to get at you there is not much defense. I think I am going to try placing mines all around my tank and see if anyone drives into them trying to get me. That would be funny to see.

Hope all you jihad jeep drivers get banned forever.

It would help if you weren't talking about a vehicle which hopelessly overpowers everything else on the ground. A tank in this game is point and kill, nothing more. Even jets need some skill to get competent. When I started this game I crashed the jet into a tree a few times. Hopped in a tank and in between getting TV guided, I actually raped half the enemy team (but then again this is Wake).

No skill gap, sorry. Jihad jeeping is what takes more skill. Most of the time you move from one end of the map to the other, dodging ****loads of threats. Jets, choppers, mounted MGs on vehicles, AT soldiers, normal mounted MGs, the bloody terrain itself, even a bloody assault rifle can take you out of the car. It's extremely satisfying to get a kill when faced with that sort of threat, so I'll continue doing it each and every time. Works best on FF off servers with 2-3 spec ops using one person inside the car to keep it alive.

As a frequent jihad jeeper on Highway Tampa, here is the main tip that will help you. Most, and I mean MOST, tank drivers drive looking straight ahead, especially on Tampa because it is so big and you get bored from just driving. You CANNOT do that! You must constantly be swiveling your turret in ALL directions to spot a jeep coming. If you do this you will usually be able to see them coming from quite a way off. I love nothing more than to see a tank driver who is only concentrating on the road ahead of him...so easy to take out from the side. Then they actually get upset for my "noob" tactic. When they call me a noob for doing it I just point out that they were just owned by a noob, which usually aggravates them even more. I jihad jeep because it is fun. I don't play for the pleasure of others, only mine. Ignore my advice and simply be my next victim.

There are no cheap kills in this game. Jihads are legit kills you get the 2 points and you take out a tank which helps the team out. Like stephen said in real life it would also be cheap to use your main turret to kill an AT guy but its part of the games balance.

jihad jeep? nah, i put C4 all over the tip of the blackhawk and go for some jihad copter! actually ive gotten quite good at divebombing quickly maneuvering tanks. ^_^

Actually I find it easy to dodge bullets, terrain, and jets. The jets will never ever hit you unless you're very unlucky. The tricky part is jumping out of the jeep/buggy and detonating. Thats why people mostly take a short cut and just ram the tanks.

I am pretty sure I've been on servers that ban Jihadi jeeping.

In my opinion, BF is a game of reality and military tactics. Suicide bombing, as we have all seen on the news, is a military tactic. The Japanese also performed this kind of attack - ever heard of the term Kamikaze? Personally, I wouldn't crash a helicopter into another player unless it was the one thing keeping my team from the win. If it wasn't useful tactic, then they wouldn't have programmed it into the game..

I just got off playing 24/7 Highway Tampa (such an awesome map), but I am frustrated due to the huge amount of jihad jeeps roaming the map. I was killed 6 times, 2 by the jet, and the other 4 all from jihad jeeps. I just cant stand it anymore! Most of them do die killing me, but some others I noticed are able to get away without killing themselves, but since I am usually not in a spawn area, they are ending up stranded, or at least walking very far after taking me out. Is it really worth it for them to strand themselves and probably die just for one kill??

I would like some responses on how to defend against these losers. I seldom am fast enough to get off an accurate shot when they come at me. Is there some other way to minimize thier ability to suicide and take me with them?

I dont have such a problem on other maps... but HT seems to be a magnet for this type of low handed tactics.

Rifk, thats the only reason I play Tampa, the jihading. I usually get 3-4 buddies to do the same with me on TS- no tank is safe, no matter how well they cover each other. When a squad full of jihad jeepers are on the way, you`re fukced. Only the idiots go right from the front, flanking is more rewarding.
I usually just hold the fire (horn) when really close to the enemy, it`ll blow up automatically when I jump out, no delay and such shaize.

Jalalabad is another favorite of mine. We usually go US and just rush Mosque with jeeps, blowing em all up.
