Whats your first move in a dogfight?

Generally when I get into a dogfight the first thing I do is hit f11 to see behind me then if the guy is coming in from any specific direction that’s the direction I pull into so he will overshoot and I can break is lock then spin 180 degrees and pull the opposite direction (because he will turn around and try to reacquire me) then do it again and again until I lose him.

If he’s behind me I face my canopy towards the ground, pull down hard, kick in the afterburners and flares and maneuver REALLY low to the ground sometimes even flying between trees.

Anyone else?

DO not post just to flame me because had anyone else posted this WE ALL KNOW that scinto and makka would say "good post".

well i point my canopy toward ground but instead of pulling down i pull up, i think its called forwar roll or something?

also i do a move i figured out all by myself which is, if u imagine the joystick as a compass, i push it northeast.

wen i do this mov ein the f18, i almos tneve rget hit by missiles, but u gotta watch the altitude u do it at

start flipping and turning as much as possible... but if I know the guy behind me is going to get me I turn up into the sun and fly as high as I can..sure I may lose it and go out of bounds but so will he if he follows...so at least I won't die alone.

Pull up to 1000 meters, they usually lose control; I just let go of the throttle and fall back down then when i get around 400m i kick the after burners.

Same, usually once I'm down to half health though.

If I'm in any other jet I barrell roll like mad, seems to work a lot of the time

if I see a jet I start pulling up into the S maneuver

if its an AA I just keep going while looking back and then flare

if its an AA vehicle I get low and try to hide from him

Go up with about 1 or 2 split S's. Fly in rear-view, wait till I see missiles, pull flares. At this point I'm trying to Barrel roll to close distance so I can pull a vector roll and get behind you.

if its an AA I just keep going while looking back and then flare + 1/2 barrel roll to spread flares. Helps keep them from keeping a lock and I don't have to hear that annoying sound

if its an AA vehicle I get low and try to hide from him + QFFT

Usually when I'm being chased, I spin around in circles and fly up and flare, it usually loses them, it's my only move, other than that I just click and shoot :salute:

Im a noob at a jet so I don't do much but try to barrel roll my way out of it, do forward loops..etc.. normally fails for me =P
