I think that a punished TK should add like 10 votes to the kickvote if its started. Then it would be easier to kick TKers. But then again you have ppl who force TK and then start a kickvote on you..

It's not bad, but then what happens as my 60 ton tank is blazing down the street and some idiot runs around a corner and gets run over?

Now I'm dead, and there's a tank sitting there - free to all.

I really don't have a problem with intentional TKers. It's usually the idiots running around getting run over because they don't press E, or think the road is a good place to have a picnic.

Either added spawn time, or kickback would work, but not this late into the game.

But then what do I do when a commander is completely lame?

Oh yeah and if you TK someone with the M95 while their in a vehicle it should result in a 36 hours ban

Here's an easy solution. Just have ff off. No tks, no one cries.

thats probably the best and easiest solution.

another one might be that the first tk costs you -3 points. second -6. -15,-30 etc..

there should be like a rebel level whereas if your rebellion level is high, you initially lose more points. Say if your a master teamkiller, you lose 30 points on the first tk.

I know this goes against everything I just said, but next time you see him...RUN HIM OVER!!!

On the larger topic tho, I doubt any FPS games will truly be able to stop TKs completely, but live and learn, and they should get better...

Take all FF off and you've got people C4ing their way to remote rooftops and even more nade whoring.
Introduce a 120 second spawn and then deliberate teamkillers will probably end up leaving the game by losing patience. Like an auto-kick.
yeah i think that would work just as well, for every team kill there is X number of seconds added to your spawn time. brilliant!!!

If youre going to bring yourself in as an example, I must point out that you probably have the "ranked" box ticked in your server search options...
If we're going to be technical, there are far more than two categories of TKers and asshats, but for the sake of simplicity, let's group them into those who care about statistics and those who don't.

For those who don't care, things are simple: they use their normal account and go on their merry way, unphased by the bad statistics they're accumulating.

For those who care, things are also quite simple: they create an alternate account for use on nights and occasions they feel like letting loose. The threadstarter's system is no impediment at all...

In fact, it's like gun control laws: nice in presentation for politicians to win votes and appealing to people who like feel good solutions, but utterly devoid of practical merit in every way.

Best idea i've heard yet, keeps the accidental TK's at a minimum loss, and the more you TK the higher the penalty. Along with if you join a server and have a high TK rating, your prob not gonna get the chance to TK in the first place if an admin is around.
The only flaw i see is new players, shooting their own team on accident and getting a high rating right off the bat, so maybe after XX kills kinda thing it kicks in?

I disagree Sloi, I dont think anyone who cares for their stats would bother to create an "Im an asshat" account. Then again, Im using sane mind and logical approach to the problem, heh.

That's exactly why they would create an alternate account: for messing around. Just because they care about one account's stats doesn't mean they won't create another to have fun with friends.

I have different ones for a few reasons...

I have a list of people who did that, so I know what I wrote is valid. Your mileage may vary, but this has been true in my experience.
