What is the rank you must be to unlock weapons you want?

I want the 2 other snipers. Mostly the M95

is there a chart/ guide with levels for unlocking i can see?

you pick your unlock. you just need the first tier before the second tier. and you need SF for the second tier.

is that what you were asking?

I think M95 is first tier so you can unlock it once you reach 500 points or waht ever the second promotion is.

do you own Special Forces?
if you dont, then you cant unlock the L96A1 sniper rifle/ Sorry =(

i got the bundle , like bf2 with the 3expansions. SOOOO m95 is 3rd promotion??

AND someone said u pick the unlock??? so u get to pick what weapon u want then???

OMFG, noob here.
Everytime you rank up, you can pick 1 unlock (unless you have the Exp Special forces, then you can get 2 everytime you can rank up).
You can pick what unlocks you want.
Please next time, either read a web site or read the little booklet they give you in the box with the game, before posting a thread.
Also, let me say that the M95 is not all that it is cracked up to be.

as for your question

you get to choose any weapon from the 1st tier on your second promotion to Lance Corporal (you get 2 if you have SF, like you do)

then you will get to choose 2 more weapons per promotion upto and included master gunnery / sergeant major

you must have the 1st tier weapon for a class before getting the second

1st tier weapons:
Spec-ops: G-36C
Sniper: M95
Assault: G-3A3
Support: PKM
Eng: MK3A1 Jackhammer
Medic: L85a1
AT: DAO-12

2nd tier weapons:
Spec-ops: SCAR-L
Sniper: L96A1
Assault: F2000
Support: MG36
Eng: MP7
Medic: G-36E
AT: P90

wow , for somebody mad about the noob question you sure answer it in detail, were all noobs at one time, but your right a little searching on this forum will most of time find a good answer.

BTW, unless i brushed over it , you do have to unlock the first tier in each class, example of what i mean is u can (with your first 2 unclocks) unlock both sniper rifles if that floats your boat.

M95 is extremely cool, the L96A1 is more accurate, so unless your wanting to take popshots at 300 meeter the m95 works very good at 300 & under. And truthfully at that range if there not laying still then its very hard to hit moving target long range, my suggestion is stick with m95 on your first unlock , & unlock something else cuz you might like to try something besides sniper one day.

Also you actually have to play a round of SF before you can get the SF unlocks don't you? or maybe not a round but at least have gotten some points on a SF ranked server. Thats what I found anyway.

oh and another thing

stats are down atm, so you wont 'register' SF time thus not getting any extra unlocks

but when things return to normal ( if they do) then you will get the unlocks


and btw what rank are you now? that would help ish

so that means your a private

well then, you play SF for a couple of rounds now

and later when you get to 500 points you'll be Lance Corporal

at this point you can choose 2 unlocks fir any kit, but you must have the 1st tier before the 2nd tier*

then when you get your next promotion at 800 points (Corporal) you will have another two unlocks to choose, same as before 1st tier then 2nd tier*

then its rinse and repeat until 50,000 points when you'll get your last 2 weapons

*by this though i dont mean that you can only unlock weapons for the same kit, you can spread them out, and i would suggest this.

EDIT::: also note this is will happen when the stats start to record again, and if they give us our lost points
