as for 'tier'

its just a set of weapons like i posted here

1st tier weapons:
Spec-ops: G-36C
Sniper: M95
Assault: G-3A3
Support: PKM
Eng: MK3A1 Jackhammer
Medic: L85a1
AT: DAO-12

2nd tier weapons:
Spec-ops: SCAR-L
Sniper: L96A1
Assault: F2000
Support: MG36
Eng: MP7
Medic: G-36E
AT: P90

by 1st before second

say you wanted the MG36 for support

it is 2nd tier so you must have the 1st tier unlock before hand

so you must have the PKM unlocked before the MG36 will become availible

Tier, another word for 'level', not sure how long you have to play the SF mod, but just play 'em both, right now without stats it aint gonna matter cuz you wont get no points & no points =no unlocks

If I ranked up to Lance Corporal without getting SF, and thus getting only 1 unlock, would I be able to get the "other" unlock that would have been available if I had played SF before ranking up? Or would this "other" unlock be lost in limbo?

not sure i've allways had SF, but i do know one thing, ya dont have to unlock them when it tells you their available, you can wait till you make sure you choose the right one/s

get SF, its worth it, if you can get the expansions for 20buks or so at walmart & if you like to play ranked & get points for unlocks their worth it. :salute:

no rank needed just unlock 1st tier before second tie example: m95 before l96a1, l85a1 before g36e, g36c before scar-l
