    Re: RPK or PKM

Just jumping into this haven't read all the posts but given those choices, definately the RPK over all.

If I cant have an RPK then MG36 > PKM. I say this because I learned how to use the MG36 and it really owns over the PKM not to mention you're not heard across the entire map the moment you shoot something.

The weird thing is that in SF the SAS use the G36E which is a german gun over there L85.

So what you have is the spetz or insurgents fighting the SAS and both sides can use an L85 though its really the british gun... Is it just me or does anyone else find that weird?

It doesn't matter if you're heard over the map by a bunch of dead spectators

Reminds me of the AWP in CS, it's heard across the map, and people run in fear.

            yes!

its usually me having ppl running in fear...sometimes i just fire without aiming and just look in their general direction...they run for the hills!! it gives me time to escape - if i need to :P

is the RPk in any way related to the Ak-47 family? Cuz it just looks like an AK with a bi pod attached to the bottom.

i love CS - its an all time fave...i was addicted to it, always getting called a hacker etc. but BF2 has me hooked, its diff...u really cant compare the 2, neither is better than the other. the only thing they share is that they are both FPS's lol, other than that there is a world of diffrence between them IMO

                    It looks like a toy.:|:

But most of the guns sound pathetic compared to in the mods.

And RPK over all, I have snipered snipers with that, and it is very good. I have yet to unlock the others, but I have used them a couple of times.

Yes, AK-47 + Big round style clip + longer barrel + bipod= RPK.

All stock MEC guns except the SVD are actually derived from the AK-47 believe it or not.

                          mg36 is butt***** from afra.

but im gonna have to go rpk74, its heat guided bullets make it the j10 of the ground.

                          FREE HEASHOTS

and its got rate of fire which I love, we all been in a situation where all you can do is hunker down and you feel and know that if you get up you are dead, thats what rapid fire does.

                          mg36>rpk-74>pkm> all else

I got hosed by a guy with a PKM last night, my only gripe is that amount of firepower that is instantly available. Being an infantry support weapon I think there should be a short delay whilst you set up on the bi-pod.

Shooting from the hip should be hideously inaccurate.

i agree with the hip comment. i think he keeps the bipod locked though for some reason, and also the sniper rifle (L9 something) that (not sure about other snipers) needs the bipod to be set up everytime u switch back to the weapon
