RPK or PKM

just for the sake of it, wich is better ?

personally I always use the PKM due to it's high damage and accuracy at extreme distances, but I keep stumbling across highranked players using the RPK. Then how excactly are you guys using it?

When I use the PKM I never shoot more than 1-5 shots at a time, depends on the distance, but no more than 5, even when engaging in CQB. About 2 shots to the torso or up should give a kill.

The RPK on the other hand seems more like a spray and pray weapon to me, or is that totally wrong ?

RPK over freekin ALL, in a big way. super quick bursts and you can rape anything, i haven't picked up the pkm for a long while since learning the ways of sheer RPK devastation. the thing is well..... it is insane if used properly

RPK if I can get it. It is so accurate. It's like... whoa. lol. you don't really even need to aim, that closely, just point it in the general direction.

I betcha this thread is going to be at least 3 pages long by June 27.

RPK ..no doubt. PKM is too slow, ..I call it the slug gun. There has been times, when the RPK has managed to mow down 5 and 6 guys at a time for me. It is for sure the gun to have in situations with multiple targets. Always fire in bursts for accuracy, and never let it over-heat. It rules the alleyways of Karkand.

My top pick is the RPK as well, but the PKM is a close second. You just need to play with each LMG differently. Know both their strengths and weaknesses and adjust your tactics accordingly.

Well to quote someone very wise (I can't remember who it is right now) "What about the PKM, I've hit people backwards with that." And I agree. PKM sucksssss, RPK owns all. I would even take the MG36 over the PKM.

The RPK does more damage than most of the support guns - enough to get a one shot kill to the head, or three shot kill on an unarmoured target, just like the PKM. On armoured targets the RPK requires five hits while the PKM only requires four. However, the RPK has a higher rate of fire than the PKM and suffers less deviation per shot fired, so you can land the hits required much more quickly and reliably.

RPK hands down. i tried out the PKM for a while because i heard it was the best, but i didn't notice any difference and it seemed the accuracy was worse.
