crap, the one time I manage to get a positive kill/death ratio and it goes unrecorded.

From what I read EA said the points will not be lost.

about the stats this is what i found on ea forums ...
I am no EA support expert or engineer, but instead of waiting to hear whats going on, I called EA itself and talked with a tech support rep. This is what they said on the phone...It doesnt answer all the questions, in fact they are very vague, but at least I have gotten somewhere in talking to find out whats going on:

What is or was the problem? "Rest assured our engineers are working on this problem. They say that server outage has occured." me- " what server, and where? there are hundreds of servers down as far as stats go, not all of them are on the same network let alone the same provider, how can EA say its just "one" server?" EA-"They cannot at this time tell where it is or how it happend." Me-"Could it be EA?" EA-" The engineers do not know at this time."

Will all the stats and awards recieved during this outage be lost, or will we get them all updated? EA-" We do not know at this time. If you have a dispute with your points, or other stats AFTER this problem is fixed, you can call EA support, and they will take your concerns, look into it, and reply back to you via email." Me-"Any idea how long that takes?" EA-"It really depends on how much investigation they have to do."

When will this problem be fixed? Time Frame? EA-"There is currently no set time to when this problem will be fixed, but rest assured our engineers are working very hard on it."

This is all I got after about an hour of trying to get something more out of this Techie....I hope this gives everyone at least a little insight into how EA is operating and what information they have. Any more questions, post here and I will try to get back to you about it.

If so ill have a check in afew hours , i just nipped in for the last 2 mins and got 6 Jet kills .

Iknow you kind of already answered it but, I want to know for sure that my points will be awarded. If not, they better dish out 1000 points + to every ranked player!

I want a guarantee soon that the points and awards are not lost permanently.

If you check out the proper thread for this issue, you'll note that I specified that stats earned on a ranked server should should not be lost at all, but if that changes or if we have any other updates it will go in that thread.

I've learned to not trust EA over the years so I need to have a guarantee on the 'delayed' not just 'should be.'

Hi Guys, here's a reply which I got from EA:

Hello ah2lun,

Thanks for the update! I am sorry for the troubles you are experiencing with Battlefield 2. Currently, we are aware of the stats issue as we are experiencing brief outages. This can cause your stats to appear missing, not updating, or “wiped”. Outage are caught and fixed almost immediately and impact to players is normally temporary and minimal. Please do not worry as your stats, awards, and rankings are still accumulating; however, are not being transferred over to the Master Server because of the outages we are experiencing.

I understand your frustration on every level because I am also an avid Battlefield gamer; however, we are working quickly to correct this outage as soon as possible. Unfortunately, we do not have a time as to when this outage will be corrected. We expect that your stats, rank, badges and ribbons should be back to normal after the outage. If you are still experiencing a problem with ZERO or incredibly high stats, first, try logging into and out of the game a couple of times, as this can force your stats to be requested from the server and updated. Players on dialup, or overseas may need to do this several times, especially during peak hours.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
