About stats not updating

Just been talking with a rep from EA.

The stats system is currently down, support noticed it this evening and are currently working on the problem but it is possible that it will not be resolved until Monday.

Queued stats may be processed when the system comes back online but people should realise that you will more than likely lose some or possibly all points earned since Thursday the 14th of June.

Update from Sentience from DICE/EA, now the Community's Manager:

As far as we know this issue was first spotted by GameSpy on Friday and they've been monitoring the situation since then. Both GameSpy and EA/DICE are continuing to look into it as well as talking to server providers to see if they've noticed anything in particular that might point to the cause of this. The gamespy stat servers are continuing to process stats but there are a number of other possible causes we're checking on.

At this stage we do not believe any stats earned over the weekend will be lost.

Response from another EA/DICE staff from the EA US forums:

We have noticed a sharp increase in soldiers reporting that their stats, awards, and rank are not updating. This is under heavy investigation since, as you know, the ranking system is a central feature of the game.

I would like to thank everyone who contributed server information in this thread. I have more than enough to report up (I was actually suprized at how widespread this is to be honest). Hopefully all of this information will put us a step closer to getting everything back on track.

Well, to be quite honest, Friday was when I first started to realize exactly how serious the issue was. I had been working on other forums a lot (building new forums and working on The Sims 2 BBS) when OldBF sent me a heads-up on the issue. I immediately sent it up to the support team who was also seeing reports that stats were not updating.

I work a standard M-F schedule for the most part so I didn't have any updates over the weekend. Then on Monday, I posted the big thread asking for server data (as the team working on the issue was looking for more information and concrete evidence).

I got tons of responses and was able to compile a report this morning to send back up so they can continue their investiagation.

Yes, I am sorry that I didn't post sooner when I had reported the issue and I also apologize for perhaps not seeing how serious the issue was at first. As far as an expected timeframe, I'm hoping to get an update on any findings today since I was able to send a report early this morning. However, until I know that they've figured out the issue, I can't really estimate on the time if will take to completely resolve it. I'll let you know as soon as I do.

If you're talking about Highway Tampa, I haven't had any points or time credited to my account since the map came out. So I wouldn't expect this to be the problem.

If you're not talking about Highway Tampa, wth are tampon maps?

i am talking about tampa, and some of it has gone to dust

i played 2 rounds and got a 70BRS, this is shown in my stats
then the next day i went on a tampa marathon (i had a good squad with me) played about another 5 rounds, got 4 golds, a 170BRS and loads of armour time. none of which updated

the evening of my tampa marathon i played some IO with a squaddie, and those points / golds loaded, so my only problem is tampa

Looks like a good time to work on that weapon I really stink at. Oh and maybe get some Aircraft time. It probably wont count so there shouldnt be a long line at the hanger-helo pad. Just an Idea. . . . . . . .Red
