How is it compared to a joystick?

Not sure as havent used a joystick. Didnt wanna go and spend a load of cash just for BF2 as I'd never use it with any other game, so just got a USB adapater for PS2 pads....works a treat. Alot better than the damn keyboard anyway.....

Does a regular Xbox controller work? How about a regular PS1 or PS2 controller? Thank you, also will these work for regular infantry and stuff? Also will it work on any other battlefield games, i think this would be fun to try.
