Nah it don't matter if they are stood close if you've got the L85 just hold down the trigger and you'll see bullets leave the barrel at a 45 degree angle on full auto it's so inacurate, still love it though!

Seriously!! Ive spent a fair amount of time with the gun...so I know a lot of its quirks. And auto firing is one of them. Hold that trigger down for more than 2 seconds and bullets seem to hit every where but the opponent. Its the most frustrating thing in the game to scope from under 20 meters, squeeze the trigger, connect on the 1st shot...contine squeezing....watch the bullets suddenly disappear.

theres the spirit. if you pick it up here and there you will never know its true potential. if your used to the G36 point and click the L85 will frustrate you, when you master and i mean truly master the L85 you will discover its true potential as a pure killing machine, Page back button on mouse bound to single/auto to start. i find the AK101 an awsome gun only rivalled by the 47 but with any distance the L85 excells far above it, which is what most maps are like, semi long distance fighting, on kark its a different story at least the most popular part which is why people never understand its usefullness because most people when talking about guns are thinking of karkand where view distance is poor anyway. any other map it would rape the others.

Thats the thing, if the AK had a real scope on it, then some of the distance (I would call it guess work) shooting with the ironsights would be less about luck. Since I rarely play medic, I often end up picking up the L85 when someone dies next to me and I grab their kit for the revive. And when you have to run around for 5 minutes before you die, you kinda have to learn how to use it. And if you are proficient with the AK, you can get an idea of the value of the L85.

Seriously though, if anyone here really spent any time playing EF, they would know how good the L85 assault kit version is. That is a wicked gun.

But in the end, for those that have not graduated up to the esoteric guns like the AK, then it is more important for them to make sure they kill and not be killed, and that is the great value of the G36e, like you said, it a point and click killer. Anyone can be devastating with it...which if fine I guess, as long as they don't have an "I'm a l33t playerz, because I can pwn you wit the G36e boi!" ego with it.

yeah i hate the recoil on the l85..it doesnt really go up, it just spits to the side and stuff but it does more damage.

I like the G36 more. The only time I will use the L85 is if I am counter snipering. I can easily use that scope to hit snipers.

As a kill-machine, G36E flat out wins, but L85 is a lot nicer. When the bullets decide to hit.

yeah man, its luck weapon, for some reason is a lot mroe accurate when i stand and shot rather than lay down :S. Indeed a lot of times it seems like bullets disappear in the air, just unbelievable

Personally I hate the L85, can't hit squat. Which one do you use?

im the same.... i use it L85 like most other ppl do, auto setting, short bursts in scoped, yet i couldnt hit the broadside of a barn

G36E, AK-101, AK47, M16, L85.

I just can hit crap with the L85. I try it every now and then, specially when I get one shot killed by this weapon I want to do that too.
funny thing, I got one shot kills with the AK-101, but never with any other medic gun.
Maybe I just suck at aiming lol
