i use the l96a1 more,due its faster reload and harder to detect sound.

i will use all the sniper rifles in the game and learn them well so i can use any sniper rifle,

but the l96a1 suits my style,followed my m95,svd,m24,type88(i think that what it called)

The only difference between the L96 and M24 aside from thinner crosshairs on the L96 is that the M24 actually hits directly at the crosshair. L96 is slightly to down to the right

All the guns are good, I remember getting two direct headshots at 200m with the Type88 on Wake, from Arty Island to that little bunker on the hill.

I couldn't believe it, I thought "Who the heck installed an aimbot on my PC"?

Well anyway, that was random luck, but it just goes to prove you can kill with ANY gun. It's just a matter of luck (hit boxes) and skill.

Well, that's just my opinion.

Anyway, about guns, the perfect gun would be the M40A3, I don't know why DICE threw in old guns like the M16A2 and the M24, those are each at least 20 years old, the M24 is replaced with the M40 series, the m16A2 with te M16A4 and an ACOG sight.

Although some things in this game are not correct I just gota thank EA/DICE/Gamespy for this exesively adicting game. :)

Back on topic, if you were to make a gun outa everything in-game I would have this for a sniper.

M24 skin, L96A1 sound, M95 damage, and Type 88 accuracy. :)

m95 is teh rock0rs but I just started using l96a1 alot more and since I saw the wookie sniper vid v2 I realized I wasn't aiming above their heads enough for bullet drop.
Now im landing CLEAN headshots at ranges like NEVER BEFORE.

M95 if u wanna snipe ppl out of choppers/jets go for medium close range and hide well.

L96a1 is teh l33tne5$.

rofl on gulf of Oman yesterday I was sniping mec airfield and a guy ran up next to be, I was standing behind a bush as my camo and when he came within 2 meters of me I played chicken with him and kept the bush between him and I and he just never saw me, it was so rofl.

Ah, I had no idea the screen resolution affected the crosshair placement!

Lol too much honor m8, but I appreciate the gesture I'm fine txs. Hanging out mostly on the WOoKie forum with fellow snipers. They hav had an influx of new and old snipers alike joining up recently. You should hang out there too. Good place, friendly people.
I usually play the TV2 servers, based in Norway. They have most maps in a 24/7 server version.
I am planning on finishing that Guide I posted here earlier and do another small tour guide of Dragon Valley. After that I am switching to Quake Wars for most of my online gaming hours. At least thats what I expect, although Tampa is fun to play with lots of armor :)

I didnt either, until ScoutStrike made the analysis on his computer. The images you see in that post were edited by me so they could be compared more easily (same background, size of picture).

The thread made by blade.verzilli TF is also correct. His findings and several others (I will post links to all relevant articles in my Guide) all confirm eachother. I havent had inspiration to finish that Guide but I will promise to have it done by the end of the week. Ill post it first at the WOoKie forum for verification.

Yes and in case you've noticed BF2 has the Marines, not the Army.

Therefore it should be the M40A3

there is a difference between m24 and l96a1

+ L96 has thinner crosshairs

+ L96 does more damage

(to me, i think that with the m24 the bullet starts to drop sooner..:hmm: )

I can't find a single reason to use the m24 over l96a1 unless you are making a video that needs to feel realistic..other than that...no reason.
