I know what you mean dude, it's hectic at long range because you're trying to get the perfect height above them for the headshot and it seems either to low and is going to hit them at shoulder height or it snaps to high and you feel it is going to go straight over there head.

Half the time the pistol seems more accurate than the sniper rifle...

At long range it's not but medium to close range you can do a fair bit of damage if your target isn't moving.

It's your mouse resolution. Set it to 1600dpi (low sensitivity) for the best precision.

I use to have this problem until I upgraded my mouse it is most definitely a mouse problem a good general dpi is 950 but that is just personal preference I find anything higher becomes harder to control

that used to happen to me ALL the time...

to fix this, i increaseed the mouse sensativity in windows, and decreased the sensativity in BF2.....

Another thing to do, without adjusting sensativity (harder) is to put ur crosshair as close to the target as u can, and while prone, inch back/forth/left/right, and eventually he'll be in ur sights...this is harder because it takes too long, and most chances ur target will be gone

This really annoys me. It's in pretty much every game because of the fact that it is all coding. I don't think it will ever be "truly" smooth. They may make the grid so small in the future that it would appear smooth, but I think your always going to have that grid.

Thats kind of what hes talking about. If you imagine that the pixels on your monitor are the invisible grid in game, you aim by moving the crosshair to each pixel. So you will never be able to aim on the line between pixels.

Though you're right that you will never be able to aim on the line between pixels, you will never have anything to aim at anyways, as the enemy soldier is only rendered in pixels. The frustration comes when your crosshair hops across the only pixel showing the enemy's foot/hand/head.

Not sure how to change the dpi of my mouse tbh? I use my iMac with the highest resolution in game, using the Mighty Mouse controller but im not sure how to change the dpi, or what the default for the might mouse is.

I had a look for DPI in my mouse settings, but couldnt find it. Its not a cheap mouse either, MS.

Don't be silly, Mac wins hands down haha. Got bootcamp running Windows on it so I can play BF2 and AA, runs perfect, all settings on high and no problems. Well except for the usual Windows probelms :p

so then the point of having a mac is ???

oh wait to pay three times the cash as it would of cost to make a pc with the same power :) but hey you can make slide shows and uhh podcasts and edit your home movies to have star wipes and crap...that sounds uhh... cool or something.
