Thats why when I solo I rely on the element of surprise, take the unusal route, come up behind the enemy and shove a tv missle up his arse.
I tried that with a few gunners that by the time we get to where were going hes used up his tv's on meaningless shots.
    Hint :

Squad up with ur gunner and tell him shortly about ur plan cuz now ur gunner is thinking, -damn, this pilot is totaly retarded, I see targets everywhere and he just wont line me up, next time I hop in first and redline the freak-

That was rude, and you say I'm a jackass? I don't think so. You shouldn't be posting mean BS like that, in fact I often let nubs in my heli, I just don't like it but seriously.

You don't come to a public server to learn something, it just handicaps others.

That's why DICE invented single player!

        Agreed.

This whole thread pretty much shows that the redlining, helicopter whoring assholes that you all make them out to be know much more about the game than you.

            ...

That isn't the point, the thing is, they should think about how they may be hindicaping others, that's just plain crap, I'll pick up someone on the pad, but when some idiot just sucks and doesn't even try to get better, then he's just a self centerd freak.

So I ask of all the people viewing what I just said, to try a round of multi, if you suck, then please go to single player and practise on "expert" setting.

It's just dumb in everyway, such as if a nub gets in a BH and transports 6 people, and goes to crash into a tree cause he forgot what botton makes you go up.

There is no excuse to handicapping others.

            Now, before you guys say "I bet you never played Single player";

For your information, that's all I did for the first 2 months I had this game, I practised and practised, then when I got to an average level, I decided to try a multiplayer server, and I was okay, but I didn't get in helis n stuff with other people whos fun/stats/tactic got ruined because of me.

(For some reason everytime I make a post I can't seem to word stuff right, if someone didn't understand or it sounded bad please leave a remark)

Its rude to Teamkill people who are just trying to have fun, as you are trying to do....

If the guy sucks so much tell him to get out, if he doesn't get an admin involved or something...

                Re: Redlining

Most of the guys here that say its rude probably just groundpound and has no idea of the *******es you can get in a heli. You forget, alot of people who play BF2 play to WIN. I give everyone a chance, but if I see its an ignorant gunner who refuses to KILL, yes, then I will redline. I'm here to win, not to teach someone how to gun. And constantly taking out the other heli, armor, jeeps, infy usually aides in winning. AGAIN--- learn on YOUR OWN TIME.

Nothing is more selfish than someone hopping in a heli and not knowing a damn thing about it.

And someone mentioned soloers only do it for 'points and rank'. Ironically thats why most of the noobs that jump in are in it for. They prob wouldn't get in it if they werent going for those pretty badges, ribbons and flying time.

                  Re: Redlining

Im a soloer, but I dont do it for points or rank, I do it to be more effective. But Private Asswipe sees a higher rank person getting loads of kills and thinks that its easy and they can do it, but I didnt get my points and rank from the helo, I got mine armor whorin and ground pounding, I had almost 800 hours of play time before I decided I wanted to learn the whole helo thing, so I went to an EMPTY server and practiced, started with learning the basics of flying then sat the helo on top the hill overlooking the ship on Dragon Valley, switched to gunner seat and fired many many rounds blowin up aircraft on the ship, seemed easy enough but hell your shooting straight, so I started aiming at one jet on the ship and guiding it to the other to blow it up instead.....again very easy to do NOW but when I was new to it, it wasnt very easy, I kept practicing until I was a little more confident. Then I went into a full server and played.

So I payed my dues, I practiced alone, I missed alot THEN came online play when I got better. WTF is so hard about that, why cant everyone do it?

People who dont do it are the ones that get redlined.

                  :salute:

I would rather have crappy team players on my team, than expert teamkillers.

Crappy players will eventually improve. Redlining losers will always ruin the fun.

Not sure if you're being sarcastic, but it's not a hard choice for me: i'll take new players over teamkillers every single time.

If I ever have a gunner with whom I cannot work (i.e., they are teamkillers, or they are belligerent) then I will simply hover in a safe area of the map til they get bored and leave.
