Assault will RULE once I unlock that one gun and the flashbang from Special Forces.

The F2000/Flash is great. Though if you're on MEC, I'd recommend sticking to the AK-101/GP-30... the AK is far more powerful and personally I think it's more accurate.

Now if you're on USMC, definitely go for the F2000. It's more powerful than the M16 and it has full auto...way better at close range IMO.

Oh and I posted a thread on the sissy b*tches that cry about the GL. Oh how I love their piteous screams... it's usually fish flopping mg whores that squeel the most.

I usually play Medic, but recently I've been catching myself throwing it down as Assault, because Assault has a slicker version of the Default Medic gun.

Both guns were in Jarhead!

you will LOVE those flashbangs, all those situations where you are behind a corner and you know 4 guys are rushing you...BAM flashbang.
so many uses, you can even blind vehciles.
On sharqi last night I was capping tv sastion and then i ran because the cobra came, i looked back around the corner and saw it hovering REALLY close so i threw a flashbang out and blinded the pilot and then sent him into a panick by shooting at him with gL. Blinded and having a gl shooting at him made him break off...and crash, it was lol.

In my clans tactics, two things have always been absent...
Snipers and assaults...

I would not know what addition would be needed to make assault be even remotely interesting for matches

If clan matche shave the squad teamwork that they claim then a grenade launcher and smoke, with the resuplly ability of the support kit, has ALOT of tactical uses, ive knocked out alot of positions where the enemy is behind cover and only pops out to shoot,heal,shoot,heal that and when I dont have the time to line up a perfect bullet shot with rifle and smoke cna get you away from vehciles and get you across a street.

assault isnt useless and clans are retarded for saying so

From what I've seen of tournaments, it's CS - whoever has the best co-ordination wins, but with the BF2 engine, so no, an assault guy is useless. Compared to medic and whatnot.


Flashbangs rule though. So many uses. Really pisses off tankers.

Assault is ok an ok kit, bu not vital to the game play of bf2. I only really use to it to kill light amour..

you guys are really talkin out the old *** ain't ya. First of all the assault smoke frags are usless crap the smoke is far to thin and does not spread far enough you can easily shoot people through it the smoke should be more like it is in POE but as it is it's more or less useless the same can be said for the flash, sure once in awhile you will get a good flash but half the time it doesn't work the way it should not to mention you then have to use the F2000 which is horrifically inaccurate. Also the transition from non scoped to scope takes longer with the f2000 which is a real pain in the *** when you want to quickly transfer from nade launcher to scoped gun and unscoped the F2000 can't hit the broad side of a barn. Assualt is a flawed class that is why allot of people don't play it but it's still decent and you can rack up the kills obviously its just not all that and a bag of chips like how you guys are trying to dream it up to be.

203 is the only reason I pick assault.
Smoke? enemy fire is a joke, some zig-zaging, bunnyhops, dolphin-dives and you`re set, no smoke needed.
What`s the point using bullets when you have AT, 203, nades

If there where more and wider spreading smoke for assault and 203 launched smoke THAT would rock.
Smoke in PR is essential, one bullet to the wrong place and thats it...30 seconds+1 sec 4 however many times you've died.

The assault rocks regardless of all your comments. I've been #1 many times against hordes of evil nub medics - I didn't notice a weakness in the class. Actually I did, I just decided to learn how to play with it.
