The G/L the assualt class has, used to be a nightmare before it was over nerfed. I think that all the granades in the game should have the same blast radius. But this thread isnt about how to fix it, its about the assualt class being a useless class according to some people. Then Eddy posted that it rocks. With that train of thought I have to agree with Eddy, its just a harder class to learn and most people dont like that but if you will spend the time its well worth the time to learn how to use it. . . . . . . . . .Red

Assault is a good kit to play in SF because of the grapple hook. I enjoy using the G3 and the F2000. If the G3 had a 30 round clip you'd see a lot more players using it.

Btw off topic (I didn’t want to make anew thread because that would piss people off) does anyone know where I can download a map that adds choppers/jets to karkand and is single player compatible?

I like the smoke because support whores tend to believes that their guns are sniper rifles and that they must fire it like a rifle and do not take advantage of the fact that rate of fire at any range is the only way for support to kill, and snipers....well a bolt action rifle firing into smoke isn’t much.

Do I need to discuss the rooftop thing again?
I should make a video explaining how to use the assault class.

I love knocking out light vehicles with the gl

I love Assault - it's way more on the edge than anything else, and damn fast too.

Assault Class is obviously the hardest class to play. And all those Support and Medics always use the G36E, and always statpad, and always grenade spam.

I am waiting for people to start bitching about Engineers.

Assault got ****ed a long time ago. Even when noobtubing was the trend, everyone was using the assault class. If noobtubing was what gave the class the edge, so be it. The extra armor doesnt justify the losses. At least the nades should have been left alone.

I've gotten in an apcs as engineer and joined the drivers squad and basically whored myself as a dedicated repair guy, even under fire I got out to fix it plenty of instances where he bailed and then got back in because I saved it, also I alternated between the different views while inside to spot spec ops stop I could bail and stop the c4 in its tracks.

I play assault all the time... to kill the endless mobs of noob class medics and their G3SE's.

People don't want to play the assault because yes, it is harder to play.

Keep this theory in mind: The majority of players in any game will eventually gravitate to the easiest class to play. This is why medics are probably pretty high in the percentage for class played. This is why warlocks in WoW at one time were the most played class, then the shaman. Whichever class 'owned' at the time, everyone wanted to play.

I always play the underdog, the underclass, I take the hardest class to play and make people cry with it. Same applies to weapons. Players will play with the easiest weapons available.

It's the same for the AT class. I don't get why everyone says it's noob tubing, but I rarely see anyone playing that class either. If it's so easy and noob, how come noone plays it, and instead let armor run amok all over the map?

I dunno, I play the Assault class from time to time, the guns aren't really that difficult to learn, I enjoy them actually, at close range most other guns don't stand a bloodu chance. In close quarters battles the assault class does just as it's name suggests.

I enjoy assault, but wouldn't really call it the "hardest class". The guns you get are in my opinion some of the most powerful in the game, at least at shorter ranges.
And I'm talking about the bullet damage they give out, not the "noobtoob" damage. lol.

Now if by easy u mean, easiest to point whore on then, yes the medic class wins hands down .

OMG, plz stop with the 'noobtube' stuff. If it was so nub friendly, then there would be more players using it. The fact is, it is no longer the 'noob tube' of old and now takes some practice to use.

When I hear the word 'newb' in anything, the medic class is what comes to mind every time. I can put up with every other class, but the medic just plain annoys me with their abilities in the game. That's why they're the popular choice.
Not only to pointwhore with, but to kill with. The medic has by far the deadliest weapon in the game. It's like night and day playing the medic class vs my traditional assault class. The bullets in the L85A1 or G36E go where they're supposed to. Not only do I as a medic have a deadly weapon, I can outsnipe snipers, and I can heal myself every 12 seconds.

can't complain about the engineers, the stock us shotgun (M11-87) is amazing. love it love it, especially with all the bunny hoppers.
