Ok Antz. Im home now.

Sorry it took so long but I gotta work to be able to live. Anyway, I will need your home address or the address where you want, need this sent. You dont have to worry you will get mine when the CD arrives. Just send the address to my private message box here in the forum. I decided to send two CD's one is the 1.41 patch on my computer and the other is one I am downloading right now. That way one is sure to work for you. It will cost the same to send 2 CD's as it does to send one. I have sent stuff across the planet before, I had to send a few packages to my son when he was in Iraq (hes home now and doing fine, his tour of duty ended). . . . . . . . . . . . . .Red



I finished the job of making the CDs and will mail them on Tuesday

Where do you guys live and what provider do you use that puts limits on downloads? I have never heard of something like this on a residential internet account.

Ok, heres the story,

At the moment we only have a 200mb monthly limit. seen as the patch 1.41 is 500+ i can't download it and if I do my ping will go way up and I won't be able to play in most servers. I live in New Zealand.

If someone is nice enough out there to send me one it would be greatly appreciated. I can help you out with a clan site etc if you want, in payback.

you might find it difficult to have someone download and send it for you. But you have another option. there are many places that you can go online and buy a CD from them with any files you want on it. You select the list of things you want on it and they burn and send it for you for not very expensive. As a matter of fact you might be able to buy a CD of the patch from EA itself and have it shipped for you.

Some ISPs will say no limit but disconnect your service for using too much (download) bandwidth. Comcast is notorious for doing that in some areas.

Everyone has some kind of a limit. It may be so high that you never reach it, but its there. In the US its usually based on band width and I guess that in New Zeland its down load bits, I really dont know. Since Im an old guy, and dont have mom and pop pay for my stuff, I know about limits and how it can be to be left out. Maybe its an experience a few really need to have.

Being just an average person I saw someone needed help and decided to do what I could to help. Maybe this will work and maybe it wont but untill someone comes up with a better idea its what Antz. wants to try. If you have a better Idea or maybe the right answer please feel free to post it, Im open to suggestions. Untill then Im sending the CDs first thing in the morning and they should be they should be there in about a week. Hope at least one works for Antz. . . . . . . . .Red
