You SERIOUSLY think that people wouldn't lob grenades at their feet in real life if they killed only the enemy? Don't be silly.

If you wanted to take this effect away, all you would have to do is increase the splash damage radius and keep FF on.

BF2 should really have had 2 modes - arcade and realism, realism = FF on, large grenade splash damage, etc, arcade = current, with slightly faster running speeds and so on.

So I was cruising wiki.bf2s.com and I came across this.



I almost started laughing. I do this type of thing daily, it's probably my favorite thing to do and convenient given all the fish floppers....I mean who doesn't fish flop.... easy answer...the GL flops fish.

That wiki text is a remnant from the time when the nader really was effective. Back then it was annoying cause you had absloutley no chance against it. Now the GL is one of the most uneffective things you can use at point blank range (and don't give me that I do it all the time crap) and almost NOBODY complains about it anymore, they just didn't care to make a notice of that in the wiki.

If a guy with the nader comes out top in 1vs1 situation at point blank range it's either extreme luck or lack of skill by the one who had a gun out...

I just couldnt help it, I have to weigh in on this topic.

If you look at my stats youll see that in the GL rankings Im about 650. That really doesnt mean much untill you realize that I also have an accuracy rate with the GL of about 64%. In plain english that all means that I kill people with the GL on a regular basis and I enjoy it. Near or far doesnt matter, If they are in range and I have the GL I will probably hit them with it. Medic, support, useing a cheat, really doesnt matter. Put the shot between thier feet and they die.

The whole point I am trying to make is this, BF2 is like a mixed up game of rock, paper, scissors. If you know what the propper response is to the tactic that the enemy is useing they will die. Its a skill to be learned and might take some time. Even at point blank you can beat the GL if you respond correctly. If you dont you die. If I guess correctly, the response that you will use I will kill you and I might survive. Either way its a great weapon and used to be better. It still works but requires more skill and you will be called a noob.

The short version is the GL love it, hate it? Use it if you dare! I do! . . . . . . . . .Red

If they are atleast 2m away I don't mind.

i think anything that kills me sucks......GLs are cheap, nades are lame, clays are ghey, artillery is unfairs, bombs are lame, bullets are noob and anything else that makes me go dead is no funsies.......even fall damage is oh noes.....

lol on a serious note, i dont think anything is really cheap....there is a way to counter, or even better yet, avoid anything that makes u go dead....so umm...yeahs
