    Re: 'Lack of Support'

Things aren't so rosy at EA. 16 million dollar loss for the last quarter, profit warnings for 2008. http://au.us.biz.yahoo.com/rb/070508...ults.html?.v=8

Funny don't see any mention of 2142 anywhere. As we know its a big flop and why is that? For me I didn't buy 2142 because of the lack of support/poor effort they have had with fixing BF2 problems. I had hoped there for a long time they would fix BF2,which is why I continued to play. After them taking what 96 days to fix that CTD'ing server crashing 1.3 patch and people are trying to make out their support is good or good enough, please!

Back when I thought this game may have gotten fixed I bought SF. I soon realised that it would never get any support. Lag when flying a heli yet as a copilot you don't get it. It happened on all sorts of machines. Still not fixed to this day for a lot of people.

Then I came to my senses and didn't buy any of the booster packs. They don't deserve to get paid for something that doesn't function adequately or as intended.

Add to that NFS Carbon, they didn't get my money. CTD randomly, that's right its EA you get that for free. Day 1 cheaters online, no cheat protection and players using a trainer designed for offline, but guess what it worked online as well. The ranking system is a shambles because of all the cheaters.

Command and Conquer 3 again they didn't get my money: 4 patches in 2 weeks. OMG that game CTD's as well, funny that isn't it. Why the hell would a game need 4 patches in a 2 week period? Its either another EA rush job or its rubbish from the word go and EA don't care and say release it anyway.

I have to say there are people with blinkers on if they think EA provides good support for their games and that they do their best to ensure games are as bug free as possible to keep their customers happy. There are 3 games I would have bought and maybe the booster packs as well if EA did a better job with BF2 and I doubt I'm the only one either that didn't purchase some of these games because of BF2's unfinished status.

      I Commend you Leeham!

Not to mention if you hate the game so much, give it up and don't post on the forums saying how much you hate a game, you may or may not play.

So if you think about complaing, just unistall it as your writing your post.

Its been 2 years, we have all heard it so, theres no need to tell us something we already know.
Speak up about what? His investment in EA stock?

The OP must live in lala-land if he really believes EA/DICE is awesome and made a brilliant product. I have seen/played HL1 mods made by community dev teams that are better.

Nobody here hates the game or we wouldnt be posting about it. We actually love it and probably play it still for a couple of hours per week. But the game could have been so much more and had a longer lifespan. The only thing that it has going now is the Stats-system and the occasional good pub game. Clan matches have become totally boring.

But your post fails logic like the OP's. If people wanna complain they should uninstall while posting?
How about if we wanna complain here YOU uninstall your forum account here.

CSS will support multithreading when HL2 Episode 2 comes out.

Unlike EA, they chose to fix all the bugs before rolling out new features.

I can't believe people are actually defending EA and DICE. I got a word of advise, how about you get your mouth off there cocks?
You blew your chance of being listened to with that pathetic line. You must be very immature/idiotic.

And again, you are complaining, so YOU practice what you preach. Why should I stop visiting this forum if I have a different opinion from you? You also fall under the category of "idiot".

You think only anyone financially involved with EA will say postive things about them? I'm just another consumer. And, yet again (I see a pattern of people not reading posts) I never said EA/DICE were perfect, I said they aren't as bad as they are made out to be by these brainless people who can't even base what they say on facts.

As for HL1 mods, congratulations. The world and his wife have played decent HL1 mods. Why don't you go and compare some apples to some oranges? Since when did Valve = EA? Talk about La-la land.

This is EXACTLY why I don't come here......people wanna think they're smarter/wiser/better that the next guy. It's the internet; you'll be arguing forever, and none of you will win. I wanna say something about the topic, but I refuse to get sucked into this.

You don't see what I'm saying, im saying, That I'm tired of the post in this section and others that say, "J10 overpowered" when about 3 topics down its another thread saying, "O noes, J10!" We get it, the j10 is over powered, but yet people keep complaining, and think that they complaining in "Internet Language" is going to make it better. Im pretty sure that DICE really can't read, "o no3s, so-so1342 has l33t h4x, j10 is o\/3rp0w3r3d, DicE suxzors" yea, helpful.

But since you like these kind of threads, i don't want to take up your time with my post.

                      Re: 'Lack of Support'

Until you actually get your hands dirty in the mod scene we really have nothing to argue about. Once you actually start trying to mod BF2 you will see how poor of shape the engine is in, its poorly optimized, the amount of shortcuts d(EA)ice has done to get stuff to work is amazingly sad, Its like a car wreck that no one bothered to clean up. It works in its current state, but barely.

This game was touted to be a modder friendly game, which it certainly is not. Whereas 3/4ths of the engine is hardcoded so that mods cant even touch them.

Then again, they bragged 2142 was to have more modding support then BF2 ever did, plus special teams to help out the mod community....bullsh*t....they haven't even released an editor for it, let alone even mentioned the modding community once

You must live a very happy life being this ignorant.

I'm not the one saying "Oh EA does this and this but not this oh wow they suck they don't care" blah blah blah

I can't present I sensible argument, hahaha you are infantile indeed. I go and research what I'm saying and present facts and figures, while you post a pathetic internet graphic that was made by someone else, such graphics are funny when you're what...12 years old?
