Re: 'Lack of Support'
Things aren't so rosy at EA. 16 million dollar loss for the last quarter, profit warnings for 2008. http://au.us.biz.yahoo.com/rb/070508...ults.html?.v=8
Funny don't see any mention of 2142 anywhere. As we know its a big flop and why is that? For me I didn't buy 2142 because of the lack of support/poor effort they have had with fixing BF2 problems. I had hoped there for a long time they would fix BF2,which is why I continued to play. After them taking what 96 days to fix that CTD'ing server crashing 1.3 patch and people are trying to make out their support is good or good enough, please!
Back when I thought this game may have gotten fixed I bought SF. I soon realised that it would never get any support. Lag when flying a heli yet as a copilot you don't get it. It happened on all sorts of machines. Still not fixed to this day for a lot of people.
Then I came to my senses and didn't buy any of the booster packs. They don't deserve to get paid for something that doesn't function adequately or as intended.
Add to that NFS Carbon, they didn't get my money. CTD randomly, that's right its EA you get that for free. Day 1 cheaters online, no cheat protection and players using a trainer designed for offline, but guess what it worked online as well. The ranking system is a shambles because of all the cheaters.
Command and Conquer 3 again they didn't get my money: 4 patches in 2 weeks. OMG that game CTD's as well, funny that isn't it. Why the hell would a game need 4 patches in a 2 week period? Its either another EA rush job or its rubbish from the word go and EA don't care and say release it anyway.
I have to say there are people with blinkers on if they think EA provides good support for their games and that they do their best to ensure games are as bug free as possible to keep their customers happy. There are 3 games I would have bought and maybe the booster packs as well if EA did a better job with BF2 and I doubt I'm the only one either that didn't purchase some of these games because of BF2's unfinished status.
