bunny hoppers are so easy to predict and nail in todays bf2, one guy last night hopped around so much and was so easy to take down by my clan but he kept doing it, even complaining in chat that it is not possible for him to die whilst rabbiting. they also become more predictable over time, if i get surprised in a corner i will jump around the target that just went prone end up behind him and shoot him in the back while he tries so hard to stand from prone, or if he jumps well just unload on his landing spot as he tries to shoot in the air, works very effectively while only jumping once, more than once just gives them a funny fly through the air death, those are the best.

bunnyhoppin is an exploit....because if u use it, u allow others to exploit your stupidity and shoot u mid air and make u fly and flail like a gooon

Sometimes I wonder if there is a certain way to dodge bullets. Next thing you know they will start calling you a prone newb, then after that they will call you an aim newb for using the right click zoom in shots. God forbid they will start calling you a bullet newb next for using too many bullets when firering.

why ? .. because like already said, just jumping 3 times in a row makes you predictable, empties your sprint bar, and makes you really easy target, and you even can't fire back. Seriously, somebody with 0 sprint and jumping is MUCH easier to shoot at than somebody who is sprinting perpendicular to you.

Sure, ppl jump, but great players don't just mindlessly mash spacebar like people make it sound, the better the player is, the more likely that the 1-2 jumps he'll do will happen when it throws you off most. I think combat is much better when it's more than boring, shallow "prone - bring up iron sights - fire single shots" style that people wish it to be. If you don't agree, too bad - it's been 7 (?) patches and jumping is still in, DICE just doesn't agree with your vision.

Bunnyhopping IS an exploit because you are exploiting the advantage it gives you.

All the guns are exploits because you're exploiting the advantage over knife users.

Check your manual, page 5. Under "Infantry" controls it says JUMP : SPACEBAR. It's intended and documented feature in the game. Now, flip over pages and find me the paragraph where it tells how to clip into buildings.

Only the losers classify certain legal aspects of the game as "cheap" "noobish" whatever. People play the game the way they want, dont put your own imaginary rules to suit it better for you. Want a tactical realistic game? BF2 is not for you.

Bunnyhopping has been with us since Doom, f*ck off.

You can't dive, roll, crouch EASILY behind obstacles in an FPS game, bunnyhopping replaces that void.

So people don't like it, but I am a gamer. You want realism go join the Military. Like I tell people who cried for infantry you want infantry theirs AA, and CS:S.

Bunny Hopping is just part of FPS,and any true FPS Gamer knows its just instinct to do it, when you have no where else to seek cover. Human instinct would be to take cover, or probably run if they were being fired at. In games that doesn't work to well.

One thing I only ever complained about was Americas Army, and the sad Crouching up and Down Exploit that off set the models and often resulted in you firing blank rounds into the air only to die. Bunny Hopping was also effective. That game boast realism BF2 doesn't. While Dolphin Diving was lame I even did it out of instinct. It mainly just stems from the fact when you go prone you have better accuracy, thus people would go prone in thin air to try to take a shot.

So many people kick and ban. The real issue is grenade spamming, and claymore whoring. Thats the worst thing about this game... Aside from the vehicle aspect where nothing seems to be effective against the J-10's and how skilless it is to use AA these days.

ROFLMAO! Advanced FPS gamers have developed into their own species and their instincts tell them to BUNNYHOP LIKE HELL!! You can't fight instincts right? So probably we need two games, one for humans and one for gamers, right?

But seriously bunnyhopping should be explained better in wikipedia, especially Battlefield 2 pre 1.2, because it was like no other game human history has ever seen! An art mastered by few and chosen. What you have now is just mild opposed to real hardcore bunnying.

It's just that we have to deal with it.

Bunnyhoppers are quite easy to kill - so there is no use for it anymore. Ppl still use it. I jump about 2 times in a row to evade bullets. More jumps are pointless and predictable.

I don't care that much about bunnyhoppers. They are not a threat anymore.

The most annoying players are the nadespammers and spawn killers.

theirs no real point crouching behind objects unless you can see over the top of them, else you get hit by that damn delay that freaks out sometimes

Hey, hey, you can't aim in doom either. Just turn left or right.

Well, Quake, IIRC. It's been a long time.

In BF2 there are far better things to do than bunnyhop. If you jump and strafe to the right or left then prone and hit the opposite strafe key, you can pretty much guarantee a win in any 1v1 battle. That is, if you actually get to do it. And you can still dolphin dive sideways, it's pretty hard to do but I'm slowly getting it.

Depends a lot on ping for some reason, you can't do half the **** in low pinged servers.


Oh and NEVER trust wikipedia for anything remotely controversial. Every talk page involves one admin trying to get his NPOV (Nitwit's Point of View) taken over another admin.

********. Bunnyhopping exploits the laggy hitboxes in BF2. The player bunnyhops because he he knows it works.

If bunnyhopping didn't work, then noone would do it. It is a very effective way of evading the enemy bullets, but not because the enemy has poor aim.

It screws up hitboxes, plain and simple. Therefore, the player is exploiting this weakness.

Exploit.

Wrong. I consider myself an 'advanced FPS gamer' and I don't bunnyhop like hell, and I get a pretty good score (Combat score) anyways.
