wake island, j10's constantly attacking the carrier from the start of the game.

it doesnt bother me. i just hate the hypocrits, they complain about baserapping and then they end up doing it themselves

If your team is getting based raped because you are down to one flag, then that's nature's way of telling you that your team sucks and to do better next time.

baserape gets me mad when i join a server thats down to one CP left...and if i try to spawn im instantly dead from Armor, Heli, Jet, Arty, Nades, Claymores, etc...all right on MY spawnpoint the very instant i spawn

The worst base rape is ones on maps such as wake island. I think on maps like Ghost Town where both teams start out with no bases, if your team is bad enough that they cannot at least hold the front base on maps like Ghost Town, then they deserved to be raped. Its a tactic, and for the most part its been in 1942, Vietnam, and now BF2. I don't see anything wrong with a bit of base rape with helicopters. I mean why should I allow you to get into an AA Vehicle, or a Tank and have the opportunity to shoot at me, or my team mates on the ground, and if your team is losing bad enough then you you damn sure don't need that chance. Same with Iron Gator, and yes I have been kicked from Iron Gator for being on the MEC side and raping their last flag, Viewing Deck. I got kicked for "Spawn killing". Its all about admins. Rarely even on servers that have the rule listed, if their on your team they won't kick or ban you unless you have a higher score then them, or so I've seen.

People abuse that admin power a bit to much. If EA would do something we'd see less of this. Instead of serveres like Rockhead where people are kicked for taking the blackhawk and not returning it when their done (LOL).

I play Mashtuur so much I really don't have to deal with it.

Carrier rape can get pretty old but instead of complaining about it I never play on Wake.....not that great anyway.

I hate base rapers. It's stat padding for losers. Not only do I hate when I get spawn raped at the carrier uncap but I also hate when my teammates are base raping. Boring! C'mon, you insecure n00bs, let them come out to the control points so we can have a GAME!

I play a lot of Wake so it tends to anger me more often than not :) I dont notice it on other maps as much. I find that when it does happen its either a challenge or a chance to find another server.

There is a difference between baseraping, and spawn camping.


Baseraping, I have no problem with. Baseraping is where a team or individual kills everything at a base, normally on an airfield or on a last flag.. etc. I get it all the time.. I'm just not stupid so I know how to avoid it.

Spawn camping, is where someone is sitting near a spawn, literally waiting for someone to spawn in and kill them right as they come in.. It's not possible with a jet, but with tanks, choppers, infantry.. etc. Very cheap.. Then again you can avoid it pretty easily (be in a squad and always spawn on the leader, or if you have to spawn at a flag you know is being camped, spin around 180* the instant you come in and kill the ****er).


But yeah... baseraping = fine (unless it's a J-10 keeping down an F-35B.. now thats just.. *****..)

spawncamping = bad.

Frag videos are so pointless.

Anybody can throw together a bunch of footage of them killing people. Problem is most frag videos don't include the footage of the fragger dying.

Unfortunately, base rape is a legitimate tactic if the team on the receiving end has lost all flags.

What, should the other team wait for them to be captured?

What I was just about to say about the frag videos, they are 99% useless when talking about player skill.

Also, I agree with the fact that people expect us to just let them have the flags...
