Snipers are simply an annoyance and easily taken care of. I've never seen snipers change the tide of a battle in BF2.

While snipers aren't the most influential, they can be key to keeping AA sites from operating and such, which allows for jets (more influential parts of the game) to do their job.

snipers rock, put clay mores on a flag then dock yourself away from the flag so that u can watch the flag, ppl will get killed by clays and snipe.

also when i camp a base as squad leader, have a squadmate fly the jet, anything u want bombed mark it with an attack order, because they can se eit they can bomb it, this allows you to call airstrikes on groups of infantry.

m95 ftw it's so fun watching them FINALLY get get the chopepr up and start looking for you and just never get there, i can't tell you how many times a jet has come aroudn to bomb and strafe the area im in.

i dont play sniper a whole lot but it is a funner aspect of gameplay then most, sneaking around, on rooftops, being all shady and pickin off long shots ans so on... I like it, i only have like 467 kills and 9 hours of play, so yeah sorta new to this... read my new thread plase

Seeing as this one has gone off-topic, 467 kills in 9 hours ... its either 467 kills in almost 19 hours (Kit) ... or ... 89 in 9,5 hours (Sniper Rifle). I wont mention the deaths if you wont.
