Maybe I'm really stupid but can somebody please explain to me what the heck I have to do to make this stupid thing work?To register the stupid booster packs and play them like a normal person?!

im trying to help. cllick on the edit BF2 soldier name at the bottom of the page where u are trying to put the code in. and then log into EA then click on download info and they type in ur ingame BF2 name that you use and then re-enter ur ingame bf2 name then click ok. after that go back and try entering in your code.

The idea behind this is that you can only run the boosters using a single BF2 nickname. If someone gets a copy of the files and your "promo code" and tries to run it online with their own nick it won't work if you've already registered it. So, even if you got the boosters on DVD rather than from EA downloader you need to create an EA account to link your nickname with your code. (You can change what nickname it's associated with later but it can only have one at a time.)

That's what I'm doing and nothing happens.I still get a "Please enter a valid promotional code" thing...

so your gamespy account name needs to be the same as your BF2 account name, i made a new gamespy account with the same name as my BF2 account, but how do i link them to eachother?

I love EA's manual for the booster pack. To install: insert CD and follow steps. Enter your promotional key on the resulting page. To play: Run BF2.

Ok, so I do all of this, I start BF2 and it looks just like... BF2. No new maps. No "Custom Games" anywhere, no sign of anything to do with the booster pack. The only thing that gives me hope is that I'm not the only one having this trouble!!!

Sad thing is, I'm in IT. I used to be able to install stuff and have it work. Thanks, EA. I now have self-doubt.

yea, i now can join an EF/AF server, but when i wanna press joine game, i get an error that i hev to rapair my game to the original version

Where are you being asked for a Gamespy account name? All you need to do is go to the EA website (for the older "Booster Pack Collection" DVD that I have it's http://account.ea.com/commerce/bf2bp...in=bf2bpbundle but the new collection may be different) and enter your "promo code" and BF2 account (or "soldier name"). I think it asks you to login or create a new EA account after that; you'll need to use this account if you later want to change what BF2 account uses the boosters.

What version numbers does your game show on the main menu? What server are you trying to join? What is the exact error message you get when you try to join?

I had a similar problem

I'll post up so that the record is here to help.

I bought the complete edition. (4 Parts)

I installed and registered BF2 and SF but could not register AF and EF.

I would click the link and it would not allow me to enter my name and PW becasue they were "Invalid"

I figured that because I registered BF2 and SF that I already had an EA account so I used my regular game name and game PW.

I created an EA account with a diferent name and registered my game to it.

Worked perfect. I now have all four registered and they all appear in my account page as one registration file called "Complete Pack"
