There is absolutely no entertainment value in a FRAG movie. If you've seen one FRAG movie you've seen them all...I learn by doing not by watching other people.

Actually, I stand corrected, I did learn something from one frag video...that is?? ITS FRIGGING BORING...no substance...at least put a story line to it so it makes SOME sense...

If you've seen 1 Sir member you have seen them all. Not ever once do you see a Sir member having respect for something unless its one of the founders thats actually above the age of 10:evil:

Oh, and i said I'd rather watch a boring frag movie(saying that, yes, most are boring) but not all are. Go watch Awoken Eyes. That's a frag movie.

What makes a frag movie? Good frags(content), good music, good editing, and nice effects.

What makes a machinima? Same exact things. Content, soundtrack, editing, effects.

I'm not one-sided enough to deny that different people have different opinions.

Last time I saw a Sir. movie it had a story line, I've seen 90% of Sir. movies. Frag movies are poor, boring, and for people too obsessed with the game. Machanim (however you spell it) films have storylines, and are creative. I rest my case.

@ AAK: I know I don't have much of a 'right' to defend SirCom, but I did, delete/modify if you must :)

A Sir. member decides to do a film. He gets admin access to our server, then calls on people in our TeamSpeak to come act in it. He films all of the scenes and goes off to render them and turn it into a final product. Before that member's video ever reaches the public, he must post it in the private section first. In the private section, each member takes a look at it and, if necessary, bashes the **** out of it. We're brutally honest with the guy who made it. If it's not good enough, it never gets released until it's fixed. If it never gets fixed to the standard that we maintain, it never gets released.

We've had 8 films like that, including one that took 3 months to produce.

We don't pretend to be high. We are high. We rose because of the hard work and dedication that every member puts into the group. And now, it's paying off for a lot of them with money. Good freaking money. So, apparently, someone shares the same opinion about ourselves, as we do.

Was that arrogance from TheDude? No. It was brutal honesty. It was the same thing we would have said to one of our own members. If people can't handle the truth, they should crawl under a rock and hide from life.

Now, Proto, I respect your opinion about FRAG movies and what not but, don't insult The Sir. Community. TheDude is another forum member just like the rest of us. Do not bring Sir. into this anymore.

As I suspected, he still can't name a single one of our movies. Ladies and gentlemen, what does that tell you?

You really should watch a Sir. movie and put together a coherent statement explaining your criticisms before you continue to make yourself sound like such an idiot. Everybody has the right to an opinion, but I can't stand people who so ignorantly decide to insult the whole group simply because of the opinions of one member. We're not defending Tehdude like some schoolyard bully group, we're defending the integrity and image of the whole damn Sir. Community. You know why we may seem arrogant to you? Because we can back it up. Certain people just can't handle that. We try to not be assholes about it.

You all have made me laugh so much, that you've made my day a hundred times better. The reason I can't name one of your movies off the top of my head is because I don't like them. I watch them and forget about them. I'm not ignorant, just forgetful. So sue me.

Thank you for taking the time to download Awoken Eyes. I don't have a personal vendetta against anyone in Sir, or the entire community, but I am tired of the self-promoted fame.

Movies such as Operation: Burning Sands, to me, was very disappointing. You get a sentence of what seems to be a story, and then 10 minutes of random content. The story doesn't build at all.

My opinion? I don't see the point in making a movie out of video game that follows a story, but if you're gonna do it, you might as well do it right. I enjoy series/skit machinima with a comedic flare(P.A.N.I.C.S., Red vs Blue, The Pwned Life, Mine 1/2).

I don't know you people, so I don't see why I should completely explain myself to you. I'm not here to write an argument paper on why I disagree with you, but I can voice my opinion on your contradictions, or however I end up analyzing the situation.

Please, learn to refrain yourselves. I respect your criticisms, but this isn't your private forum. Many different types of movies get posted in the media section. Whether they be machinima, frag or stunt movies, etc., whether good or bad, SOMEONE put time in to it. Not everyone has the resources you do, and can't live up to your seemingly Godly standards.

My whole point here, was that Tehdude had no right to publicly bash an entire group of media. I've already had a PM war with him, where I attempted to explain myself(which all seemed fruitless). I don't need the entire Sir. Community breathing down my neck with their opinionated ********. Have a nice, day. I hope you'll learn to live with other peoples' views.

I like the Sir. Community, and their videos.

I tend to think that most frag videos are boring, because they have poor editing, and poor content. But not all, that Frag video about Call of duty that someone posted was completely awesome from my point of view.

I do think people should criticize videos that are released to the public. This is a crucial step in making people better at what they do. Say, for example, someone makes a video of one complete round of karkand infantry only. No editing, just completely like you yourself were playing, and nobody said, "Wow, that sucks, edit it to show clips." Imagine how bad the standard would be .... (this is just an extreme example)

I also think it's funny how, when in a forum "discussion" people type grammatically correct sentences and paragraphs. As opposed to lol, wtf, kewl, lawl, etc.

Basically, yeah.

Oh, and about the Sir's being gods ...

it's kinda like people from other countries hating USA, because we are the super power. The role-models if you will.

That's how I think of it.

I didn't like awoken eyes though. Maybe it was the cs graphics, or the 5 minute intro with mostly 3d logos.
