Lets just wait and see what the opinion of 2142 is in 18 months time. I still think there will be more playing BF2, unless a better game comes out.
2142 is ok but once you get past the gadgets and new maps, it seems to lack soul. Still a good game but........

Frontlines FOW will be a direct competitor to the market BF franchise provides, with Trauma studios being the ones in charge, I have no doubt that they will do everything they can to do right, everything DICE did wrong.

The fact that they will not implement persistant stat tracking, and use the one similar to ET is telling the tale.

Well see. Fact is, BF2142 will never go as high as BF2 did, and there are plenty of reasons why.

With the new games, BF:BC included, coming out, the market that BF2/2142 is occupying right now will be left behind.

this is coming from a bf2142 player, stick with BF2 it is alot more fun and less laggy lol, i play this game i get a 100+fps i play 2142 i get 20-30 it sucks

I own both and played 2142 almost exclusively for a few months but it got very predictable and therefore boring for me. Titan mode was a good concept IMO; however, as is usual, the point whores found the most efficient ways of exploiting DICE's "features" to make it darn near unplayable. I still play it from time to time but most of my time is spent playing Special Forces and Vanilla. I do love the roller mines and Pilum in the Engy kit though. The only other ability or unlock that I think is worth anything is the Squad Leader spawn beacon.

Wht suck bout BF2142.
In BF2 you unlock guns, and the starting ones are not THAT bad. BUT in BF2142 you unlock ability and gadgets. Higher ranks have Fked Up guns, nades, can run fast and recorver faster, have gadgets like sentries(often used for spawncamping), Demopack and kinda claymores (often used to make you TOTALLY unable to enter the enemy titan) sniper zoom and stabilisator and plenty other ****s like that. When you start playing, you dont even have nades, only a knife, a hand gun and a main gun.......... How the hell are you suposed to kill ppl???? I aint crying, but the effort I put in BF2 to get a k/d ratio of 3/1 in a round is the same in BF2142 to get a k/d ratio of 1/1

The results of this poll are obviously bias in Battlefield 2's favour, but in any case I voted Battlefield 2142 (would have voted for BF1942 but it wasnt an option). I find it far less fustrating and alot more balanced. Comparing the two together I have had more fun playing Battlefield 2142.
