Re: Aviatus Completus: the complete guide to dogfighting
Good guide, I find a lot of this is mostly common knowledge though and the best thing to do is learn it all through practice. Reading this won't automatically make you better, the trick is to practice it all so much that you implement the methods without thinking of them, it becomes a second nature. When flying you should be doing everything by instinct, if you have to think about what you're going to do, you delay your movement that extra fraction of a second. When I'm flying I don't think about the maneuvers my opponent is making and how to counter them, or when I should drop a bomb because of my HUD. I know my mind is subconciously doing this for me but I don't have to think aobut it. After a while you just kind of "feel it" when flying.
I use the same method, like I said before the trick is to just feel it. TBH I never liked the double bomb mode, I thought it was a waste of ammunition and had brutal accuracy unless you bombed from the ideal approach (which wasted time setting up). In 42 since they only give you one bomb pilots had great accuracy with one bomb killing tanks and could even target where on the tank they would hit. IE to kill a tiger in one hit you had to hit it in the back. I can't provide a lot of tips for learning to bomb in BF2 since it mostly carried over from 42 with a few minor adjustments, the best I can say is practice till you can hit 100% without even thinking about it.

Slinger- PW uses 1 bomb drop method, he approaches the target using cannons, and drops the bomb while he lifts up the nose. Pay attention to the sound of the drop, and targets location on the HUD. I dont remember where exactly the line is. Which is why you should check the video and backwards engineer the method. Add ****load of practice and youre good to go.
