I've never seen this, but how come nobody every mentions anything about using their rudder when circling? is it just common sense or is it unknown? I always use my rudder when circling, it kinda corners the plane out and i *think* it makes the plane turn sharper (learned from all those fun days on Crimson Skies). I always see other planes turning normally, but mine is always lobsided.

    Metallica do you use it???
    ..

    yeah.

good guide indeed but you have far too much time on your hands. Don't think that's a negative comment I wish I had as much time to ponder on the gameplay of bf2. One day maybe...

It's like those infomercials... there is no secret pill or some easy ****... You have to work and practice at it.

              Wrong. There are two answers.

              Practice, and a good joystick.

well I dont know if its considered a "good" joystick but I got a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro
what I dont like about it is it seems to have "play" or "backlash" in it to the point where you can actually move the stick forward/backward and side to side a good 3/32 to an 1/8 of an inch in any direction before anything reacts, its been like that since the day I bought it and I figured thats just the way it is.....crappy
but I dont think that has anything to do with me not being accurate with bombing, you could give me the best joystick out there and I would still miss LOL

Explain? I don't really analyse anything, just fly, what do you mean? As in do banked turns? Hold the directional key when turning with mouse? I am lost...

With this post, I think the era of "NSFDSL" (Not Safe for DSL) has finally come upon us!

Seems like practice. I luck out so much in a jet I honestly cannot believe it. Killing FAVs moving sidewards after they disappear from my screen just because of some casual flick of the plane lobbing it in their direction, hitting a tank with a single bomb and taking it and 5 others out, lobbing a bomb into the middle of that hiding hut in Wake South Base where everyone hides for the flag, etc, and of course, bombing choppers in mid-air with out even trying to do so - if I could reproduce this...

I've found that when diving (I dive at 45*), the "bombing crosshair" that's imaginary shifts between the level flight marker (the bottom of the bomb reticule where the straight line meets the curve and the cannon marker, so I put my target right there. If it's a complete downward dive, you have to account for the fact that bombs are actually dropped some distance away from the plane, so you hit them with the bottom of the cannon reticule (on an f-35, this is that curved line with straight lines coming out of it).

I think I play this game almost exclusively for the flight aspect, sad, but I'm not too keen on flight sims anyway.

Re: Aviatus Completus: the complete guide to dogfighting

What hes saying, is that you use rudder in almost any turn you do. Its really something that is natural. If you turn right, you apply right rudder. Once you start using it, it will grow as a reflex, because using it is natural.

Turn right: Bank right, apply pitch up, steer right.

Slinger- PW uses 1 bomb drop method, he approaches the target using cannons, and drops the bomb while he lifts up the nose. Pay attention to the sound of the drop, and targets location on the HUD. I dont remember where exactly the line is. Which is why you should check the video and backwards engineer the method. Add ****load of practice and youre good to go.

If its too hard, simply try steep divebombing with double bombs, use the bottom of the aiming reticle circle to aim with.

I think you should be able to just open it up and use some filler to stuff up the gaps that create this play. Keep in mind it'll **** the joystick up if you do it wrong, and I don't even know if joysticks have changed in design since the last time I've used them (it would be like me telling you to clean the dirt off the non-existant rollers on your optical mouse)

Edit: Just watched a bit of the planewhore video, how do people fly in that view? Can't f*cking stand it unless I'm in a chopper.

That's what I was thinking, reminds me of a game manual. Wish they included something like this in the BF2 case...
