We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
I think that when you are in the middle of a game anyone can kill anyone else at anytime reguardless of thier rank. Personally I always shoot the highest ranking player, in a group, first.
I think the original post was about stacked servers with 20 players listed on both sides but all 20 arent there. If you count the players with a score you will find that it was really 20 on 10. Or something like that. No matter what the players rank is, 20 on 10 just isnt fair. Its not much fun either. Its not always 20 on 10 but on a stacked server its always lop sided and needs to be fixed. Maybe BF2 needs an adjustment so that if you go 3 minutes and dont score any points or die you get the old auto-boot.
Anyway, the stacked server deal happens way to often and needs to be addressed. . . . . . . . . . .Red

You know maybe a first luetenant started a new account and showed up on his regular server as a private, in that case rank means jack Sh**, and like many others have said before its all about skill, and in some instances it doesnt take much rank to have skill.
What is fun is having a real fight with tickets going below the 5.. It happened to me once, we had no spawns, and I was the only one left with the opposite team have 5 tickets left, so I decided to snipe 5-6 ppl, And we actually won

Yeah but the other night I was on SF Ghosttown and it was blatent!!!
3 star, 1 star, bird, 3 major, 2 capt.....basically no brass on their team. To make it worse they had 4 more player than my team which had a 2nd Lt as the highest rank down to 3 privates.
So yes one or two of those privates might be seasoned vets restarting, but not likely. You could not even spawn in the map....the other team had all the helos and all the armor. So how is that even....I love a challenge too but give me a break. Servers should be forced to have have even teams (rank and numbers!)
I don't have a screenshot, but a few days ago I was on some clan server, and all but one of them were officers. There were 16 players in the game, other side had, 7 clan guys, I think. Anyway. like I said, they were all officers, butter bar and up, except for one guy, who was 1 rank below 2nd LT. So he was an almost butter bar.
My side? I was only officer, the rest were PVT, PFC and LCP. That's it.
So, not only did they stack the side with all clan guys, all probably on Teamspeak or Ventrilo (which is OK I guess, more fun to play together than against each other), but they way outranked the other side.
I held my own, didn't die that much. I had like 30 kills, next highest guy on my team had 2. But team wise, they were capping all the flags (this was Warlord), going from base to base pretty much chasing me (I was in an APC running for my life). My side? They were mostly snipers (why is it that noobs always play sniper and become roof rats?), not trying to cap flags or win the game. Only until a few higher ranked players joined the game did my side even show any fight, other than me.
So, I do agree that in pubbing, when there is little teamwork, rank does make a difference, becuase it shows that the players have played long enough to know what to do.

I imagine them as fat little kids with a burger in one hand and a mouse in another sitting on a roof or hidden somewhere because they're just too lazy to move around, biting on that burger and try to hit something after they quickly laid their claymores in most obvious but unavoidable spots.

I know a 15-year-old who used to do this, he had the extra buttons on his mouse configured so he could move and play with 1 hand if he needed to. A couple months ago he went on a diet though and he's still losing weight and not playing games much anymore so kudos to him!
No, not really. I can load a server with nothing but corporal and under and wipe out ANY group of colonel+ you can muster.

No, but he can get his clan beddies who have low ranks and then wipe you all out. Of course he can't do it all by himself, are you crazy?
i have seen many games like that, were the other team is stacked against us. I dont really care i still play the game, it is just a game. Its not fair no ****e, but i have played against it and actually people started giving me complements for not complaining and i guess dying like a champ. I died alot but i also killed alot. It doesn't really bother me that much as long as i can at least respond without getting killed right after i do.
