I've done it quite a few times, and can do it whenever I need to. But unless they're harassing me, I leave them alone.

There are some people who can hit jets 99% of the time. The 1% accounting for netcode and hitboxes.

Signed.. TV'ed lots of jets. Even tv'ed an F35B and a cobra with 1 tv missile in flight. I started to aim for the cobra, saw the F35B coming changed direction to hit the jet and at the exact moment I hit the jet it was directly above the cobra and the explosion of the jet also blew the cobra.

My favourite is watching the jet circle around for a pass and fly directly at us and they eat a TV.

done it a cpl times on clean sweep, can't seem to do it on any other map...but yeh its funny and feels good

I've done it plenty of times now. I guess you can add my name only once though :)

You've probably done it a million times by now.

I did it eight times today alone. The trick is to wiggle your TV missle around (Hope for a lucky hitbox hit) if it's coming right at you, or to aim directly for the engines if you're behind them.

Of course this was on Kubra Dam, where there were no J-10's.

You should make a sign up sheet for people who've TV'ed a J-10's mysterious dissapearing hitbox.

I TV'd a J10 taking off on Wake a few months ago, nothing spectacular.

I've also been TV'd quite a few times in a jet on OCS whilst flying away from the US base, heard the annoying as **** incessant beeping, checked my 6, saw nothing coming towards me or couldn't determine the direction so I assumed it was the AA placement near the APC spawns, so I hit flares and hoped i'd be out of range shortly only to be TV'd a few seconds later :laugh:

I've tv'ed many jets. Every jet (and bombers) in the game have I shot down. Some more than others. But it's often a J10 or a F35b.

I usually dont shoot at them / dont get the opportunity.
Either we (yeah, I've a pilot and guess what: we're a team) are too busy getting rid of choppers, armor or infantry or the jet pilot is damn good - in this case he doesn't take the risk to get shot in the face with a TV.
In AF it's different though: they can run, but they cant hide

So basically, except for one time (tell you later), I only shoot (and kill) them when they do stupid things like decreasing speed, hovering or looking straight into my eyes:
I once shot a J10 Pilot on Wake out of his Cockpit with the Cobra MG when he came directly at us - fortunately, the empty Jet did miss us.

Let me tell you about that exception mentioned above.
I was with my pilot in the MEC Chopper on Gulf of Oman.
We're in a chopper duel with the Cobra. When I was ready to fire (shot down a BHawk before noticing the AH-1), both gunners were looking at each other.
Distance was pretty close for TVs, the first one to shoot would be probably the winner in this match.
Well, I shot first
It made BOOM almost instantly and I wanted to put my thumbs up for this ownage when I noticed the Cobra still in front of us.
I raised an eyebrow and my eye did follow the movement to the top left of the screen:

I hadn't startet the "What" part of WTF when I noticed my pilot laughing (was more like roaring) hard.

What had happened?

Well, we weren't the only guys in the air, some jets were, too.
Our MIG was chased and probably thought it'd be a great idea to dodge the F35s rockets by doing a barrel roll between the choppers.
His plan was good, he did dodge the F35s rockets.
However, his timing was too good and he was in front of our chopper the same instance I let loose the TV.

I wonder whose face would have been more fun to watch, mine or his

I did a couple of weeks ago by a freak accident

I was USMC gunner, I got lined up on the MEC attack chopper and fired, but before it got there it exploded which I thought was odd because it travelled less than 150m. I look down and I got a kill message, I type "wtf" to my gunner and ask if I hit a jet and he said I did, I didn't even see it, I guess I got tunnel vision on the chopper.

rarely play air maps due to hardware problems but i've still tved a few hovering F-35s in my time, aswell as a J-10 flying straight at me.

I've eryx'd down an F35 on Wake Island... I still don't know how to use the TV missles, let alone control thier direction... anyone wanna tell me? :) (Please or i'll kill this cookie and you'll cry because mr. cookie is dead )
