I Absolutely SUCK At Killing - Please Help!

Well I got BF2 two weeks ago and since then I've improved somewhat but now I just don't seem to be improving at all. I can hardly EVER kill anybody and it's really annoying. I can rack up some points by doing medic etc but it's the killing side I'm crap at.

What I want to do is pick just ONE kit and get really good with it so it's the kit I use all the time. I was thinking of using Spec Ops but then I realised that their weapon upgrade doesn't have a scope. So I decided to go with medic so that I could upgrade to the L85A1.

When I unlocked this gun I was shocked. It is massively inaccurate (I unloaded a clip at somebody standing still about 10 metres away and they turned round and 1 hit me) + the recoil is terrible & the scope looks pathetic. Why use a crappy pointed shape like that for a scope?

So basically I just need some help as to what kit (let's say you HAD to pick just one) to use. I realise different situations call for different kits but I'm just looking for a kit that can basically be used in every situation/map and still prove to be useful & help me rack up kills/points.

Better of using the M16/AK's for the medic class over the L8 IMO. I hate the thing as well. As far as I know the bullet will hit right on the tip of the rectile...supposedly. :hmm: Try hanging back a bit and picking people off, don't rush head on into 20+ people. If your playing IO Squadding up helps a lot too.

Personally, I go AT for any map, it's the all round kit.

Don't worry, I've been playing a week and I have roughly 3 times more deaths than kills. Lately, though, I find I'll get, say, a 5 kill streak, then get raped a few times...so I think it's improving:/

I play spec-ops and sniper, by the way. If you're willing to use a little stealth, I recommend a spec.

I recommend assault kit. The unlock (G3) is one of the strongest guns but each load has a small amount of bullets so there is a lot of reloading :laugh:

Also Support is one of my favourite kits, it just owns.

Medic is kinda lame for newbies because the kit has no body armour and you get owned easily. I only recommend medics to experienced players. So I guess you start playing kits with body armour first.

Don't bother. The stock weapons rock...

As for killing people... Every kit has it's bonuses. They also have their minuses... Just use whatever kit you need to (i.e AT to kill a tank, Spec. Ops. to kill a tank/C4 something, Medic to revive, Support to supply, etc.).

Here's a tip on aiming. Stock weapons are more awesome than you think... Just learn how to use them.

:edit: Ping also plays a huge part... you aren't playing on servers with 100+ ping... are you?

Thanks guys, I might try Assault out for a while and see how that goes. Still, any more advice is welcomed

the L85A1 itself isnt innaccurate. if u stand up and blast on full auto the guns guna move all over the place. That guns best with small bursts or on single shot. Also always remember to lie down

Single shot, prone... it works for every weapon...

Just don't get prone-happy.

OK so let's say I was to use the Assault 'stock' weapon whilst prone, would I be able to pick off enemies far away with a little practice quite easily? It's just that I can't see myself killing anybody at med to long range without a scope, which is why I was using the L85A1.

Also, when killing enemies from a distance should I always switch to single shot instead of burst? If I was to do this, I'd probably end up shooting them once, then they'd start jumping around all over the place and before I knew it my clip would be empty, they'd be gone and I would have been noticed by an enemy because of the amount of bullets I was firing.

Just try it...

Or play against me... I'll use only stock weapons....
And I can let you know what shot type I used...

Usually, burst/Automatic is for Close Quarters Combat (CQC)... Single shot is for long range. It's up to you to decide what is CQC and Long.

My guess is you need to improve your reflexes and get a feel for the way network lag affects gameplay.

In short, play for 2 weeks and you should have it down without anybody's help.

Assault is a good class to learn the trade......bullet damage is high and you have armour...Dont run and gun and learn to hit crouch/prone and fire in short bursts...practice will give you the correct lead in all situations. The better plays will aim for your head

Here is the key:

Always use M16A2...if you don't have one pick one up three shot burst will own any1!

I have had 7 FPS games before BF2 so I rock and am staff sergeant after two weeks.

This is not PR so you have to bunnyhop abd Dolphin dive to win in CQB.

Don't give a sh*t what other people say about that.

If in a knife fight just keep reloading you main weapon while the sucker tries to own you with knife.

Everygun has a different aim...go to secretsofbattlefield.com I think its that and find the exact aim thing in there forums.

After that I owned some1 on the other side of wake with M16A2! But he was low on health.

And the key tip is to play on 93 or lower ping.

Oh but the most important thing IMO is having a good PC. Gotta go bye hope it helped

You just have to learn how to use the L85. Its quite good once you know how. In just a little time, you will be able to use it on full auto.
