Quoted for truth. The game is so much more fun when you can find a bunch of people willing to work as a team. You can buy BF2 for $20 now at bestbuy and for $40 you can get the bundled version with Special Forces.

The game is up for 15 bucks on amazon. I haven't really played with sqauds all too much so I guess point whores and the other selfish b****** won't affect me all too much. Plus you get teamkilling for vehicles in the demo as well. My other main question is that all the unlocked weapons from ranking and such, is that gonna ruin the experience for a noob?

Your better off with another game.
Such as? Every game I've played between half-life and bf2 has only been enjoyable for a short while.

I only got bf2 3 months ago as a stop-gap until HL2 Ep. 2/TFC2 comes out. Yes, there are lots of annoying little bits but overall, it's the best online game I've ever seen. I have not played CS once in the last 3 months.

Being in a great squad that makes the difference
Mowing down a whole squad by yourself
Literally owning a round from the air
That glorious headshot from miles away
        Shooting down that J10 whore
Knifing that sneaky sniper in the back
Winning that war by one ticket

So much goodness I can't wait to get home and play it.

        Buy it now Leo. Honestly.

+1 -- The ones out already (POE), the ones that are constanly improving )PRM), and the ones not yet released (FH2)

Buy it, play it, have fun with it.

yes if you enjoy the demo you should definitely get the game. for $20 you can't go wrong.

There's still a zillion servers out there so you can find the kind of play that you want.

The criticisms in this thread may be valid but they don't show up for me very often so i quite enjoy playing.

Basically, are there many people still playing it? Are there many unsolved bugs. Will I be able to enjoy it like I like the demo?

                        Thanks for answering
Many demo bugs have been adressed...
If you like playing the demo, you will like playing the full game...

                          Re: Worth buying BF2 Now?

the game is full of bugs
EA/DICE support is pathetic and will get worse
but the game is still GREAT
especially if you join up with a clan and make new friends
                          I mean for $20,
most of the players here have hundreds of hours of game time
do the math - pennies per hour of past time

There is only two maps to choose from really, Kark and Jala.

I started playing BF2 with retail 4 days after the game was released, played the demo up to that point. I've been playing ever since. Its had its ups and downs but it has never stopped me from playing.

My friend got me into the BF series with 1942 around the 1.4 patch and I've been hooked on the series ever since.
