Just a thought if you're a sniper regarding UAVs..
I don't know about everyone else but if I hear a teammate or commander sight a sniper I usually do a scan of the map to see if he is anywhere near me. Snipers can be deadly at long ranges but their concentration on their targets makes them easy targets sometimes.
Additionally if a UAV lights up a sniper I might try to take them out as they peer over a ledge or something.
I guess what I'm saying is snipers draw attention when announced on the map. When I'm the sniper kit I try to minimize any of the aforementioned "attention".
Thats why I think its not a bad idea to take the enemy UAVs out when you can.
