PKM is rather good for taking down UAV. A few acurate short burst from aimed prone and its toast. Done it a couple of times at least and was surprised the first time that you could destroy them.

Alright kind of the same topic. Any tips on landing on one? I keep trying using the chopper and no luck. I'm bored :p

One area you can try to perfect it is on a local server on Warlord. You can put a UAV south of the parking garage on the south side of the map and spawn as a
British SAS. You can try...actually come to think of it, jumping outta a chopper seems like a better idea. I think its just hard tho

i take them out with a planes MG and the choppers chaingun, never done it from the deck though

I have done experiments taking them out a few times on a "Need __ Players To Join" Sharqi server. On top of the tv tower I took two shots at my own UAV with an M95 and it was down... I probably could do the same with the PKM because I get kills with that on the crane at Sharqi.

well as a sniper im stuck in a love hate relation ship with them cos i get to see if there are any nasty snipers tryin to put a knife in my back or take my head off but they also show the enemy were iam. so i will try takin them down next time i get a chance.

m95 can take them down in 2-3 shots, i know from experience. and its said that its useless because it's not worth any points...... well only point whores should be saying that. blowing up the uav in the air is an incredible help to your teammates. only having an allied uav in the air is a huge leg up in battle. and trust me, commanders do get annoyed when their uav suddenly disappears outta the air.

Takes 2-3 M95 shots to take out, done it a few times when sniper and waiting for the enemy coming up the hill on Mashtuur. Not really worth making a consciense decision to do it as you dont get points and the UAV is ready to go again not long after.

Better off going to the trailer

if i remember correctly, they have 200hp and the armor of a regular soldier (assault)

so a brand new uav should take 3 shots (98 damage each shot)
older or shot at, should take 1 or 2 or less

It'd be nice to get points for it...but I think too many people would do it if so. I blow them up whenever I can with my hellfires in the choppers. My clanmate and I found one on the ground, and we blew it up by shooting it...I hit it 6 times with a pistol and he hit it once with a shotty.
