Re: To Forgive or to Punish.

I've been getting alot better on avoiding TKs overall. I can pretty much anticipate when some idiots gonna jump in front of my car/tank and where grenades are (I got good reflexes =D). But when I do Tk/tk someone I swear, the past month I can count on 1 hand how many times ive been forgiven. 9.9 times out of 10 I forgive because its obviously accident but if I accidentally TK the guy I forgave he punishes me.

Ain't that the truth of it. I average just over 1 TK per hour of play and its 99.9% accidental (some stupidity too lol) The rare occasion I TK on purpose is because sometimes you have to defend yourself against the real TK'ers.

I forgive ALL TK's I deem were accidental, yet sometimes you know they were being careless or stupid and you wait for the apology (which I do automatically) If no apology comes, then just maybe he gets a punish.

My favorite is when you accidentally TK someone, apologize as fast as you can, but you are punished before you can apologize and revive him. Hell, I have been punished AFTER I apologized and revived him. BF2 is full of idiots, I swear it.

Re: To Forgive or to Punish.

I look at what the situation was and I decide on that.

IE if it was a grenade thrown by a support guy, I will punish every time. I can't stand people who just sit there and throw grenades as their main weapon, and I know some of you here do that.

If I get bombed by a jet or something I will forgive, or just getting shot on accident, IE I get revived when someone was shooting and I was in his line of fire... etc.

But if someone TK's me on purpose than it's a punish.

Re: To Forgive or to Punish.

Sometimes I forgive, but most of the time I just punish without asking if it was intentional or accidental.
I have got about five or ten forgives total while playing for accidental TK`s while playing BF2 all this time so I really just don`t give a **** anymore.

All above is when I play Bf2 or its mods seriously. When just messing around, I punish like hell.

I always forgive unless it is a blatent TK (Meaning I get killed for a plane or something like that).

I will forgive unless it was intentional and wait for awhile till they apologize. Man, karkand IO is stupid. One round i had all of my deaths being tked. Not because i ran into the grenades, but they threw the nades blindly.

I rarely punish. Only when it's a very clear TK (like C4 my tank after I just got in).

Im just getting the game, but I have a feeling inside the game, when I tk by accident which is inevitible, I will surely be punished all of the time, despite what the people here say.

If i run infront of somones gun and get tk'ed, why would i punish them for my mistake ?

The amount of times somones run infront of my gun and punished me.. even though i revived them 2 seconds later.

I only punish for things like, ive just killed 4 guys to take a flagg get it white, im taking it then some retard on my own team fraggs me with a grenade

I only punish if it was blatantly deliberate - they already have their -4 so why rub it in their face? IMO its not there to punish poor control skills or bad judgement, however others may think differerently and do just that.

The annoying thing is, we all paid (about) the same for the game so who can say anyones use of punish is wrong?

I never, ever intensionally TK anyone ...and never have. I get forgiven less than half the time, and 99% of the time forgive. Sure, people make mistakes, and people intensionally TK for some really poor reasons. When I get TK'd from some really dumb mistake, it is soooo hard to forgive, but I will if its not intensional.
