To Forgive or to Punish.

I'm just wondering how often all of you Punish or Forgive and why?

Personally I only punish if I see my teamate looking at me while he's shooting me, I never punish when I'm retarded enough to run over someone's nade or something idiotic like that, but today I got punished 4 times, from one nade....in Kark, I was MEC there were hella people behind me and we were all running to go spawn rape because we got OWNED last round, I threw a nade and stopped as everyone ran by me and over the nade....and yeah.

I punish if there is malicious intent, complete obliviousness, or a stupid mistake involved.

Stupid mistakes include grenade tossing. This is why I spam "sorry" when I throw a grenade that I know my stupid team-mates will run into. It wasn't just their mistake, but mine. One that I deserve to get punished for.

I don't agree with Dairuka. I practically never punish...
When I do punish, it's either when the TK was done to actually TK me, and not just a mistake (for example clan-members M95-ing me out of the chopper).
Therefor I only think I deserve a punish when I do something that WASN'T a mistake (and not when I run over 2 guys on the Wake airfield trying to start my J-10 ...).

I punish for everything.

I'm sorry to say, but I am REALLY glad that I don't have to play with you. And I think the rest of the BF2 community agrees with me.

Exactly how I feel, however, I actually very rarely throw nades...

The only people that get me for punished tks (aside from forced...idiots) are the idiots that punish me when they are going to C4 a tank, that is about to take our flag, while I am bombing him into oblivion.....I am sorry, but if a flag is in danger, and I see "enemy armour spotted" I go and bomb it, unless there is a cloud of blue around it. The way I see it, if I take out the tank, and one friendly, to stop the flag from being capped, I am helping the team more than if I just let the guy on the ground deal with it....and of course, get punished for it..


*EDIT* YoDiddy is not a bad guy/girl to play with actually, at least he plays it like a game, unlike about 80 percent of the people out there. Including me half the time.

In that situation I would forgive :)

And I almost always forgive, unless, as some have mentioned, it is intentional.

QFT. THat is EXACTLY what I do. :p But Dairuka I disagree with the last part. It is THEIR fault they ran into the grenade IF they see you throw it. You don't deserve to be punished. I also punish when I run into a flag (On Karkand. Only because its the only server in Australia that has 999 rounds before it reloads. ) and some point-whoring moron throws a nade into that flag killing me and our teams hope of winning... because no one even tries to get a flag...

One could compare the stupidity of a person running onto a live grenade in BF2, to the stupidity of a person running into traffic in real life.

Sure it is Darwin at work, but sadly we become the ones who are prosecuted by a court of law, should any sign of mild neglect be apparent.

We should expect our team-mates to be idiots. Therefore, if you throw a grenade with a 3 second fuse, ahead of a bunch of idiots who are sprinting as fast as they can to the same bottleneck where you just threw your grenade, you deserve the -20, and the 5 impending TK punishes + Server Kick.

Lesson learned; try not to be as stupid as the people on your team.

I avoid bottlenecks like the plague, but eventually one of my own team-mates grenades will find their way to me in the middle of a heated gun-battle, or in the process of capturing a flag.

I forgive when i believe it is accidental...although the servers i play on do not have an auto kick so it makes no difference either way

I only punish for intentional TKs, especially when it's an absolute moron - case in point, flying commanders C4ing you out of the heli or M95ing you. Ironically, the same guy tried using the cannons on armor and TVed infantry.

No one seems to ever forgive me...ever! I rarely ever teamkill someone because of something that was actually my fault either. It's annoying, but everyone seems to automatically press Page Down.

i rarely punish, if however someone shoots me point blank i will wait for a bit to see if they apologize, if not ill punish
