question about a possible BFROE server violation

i figured this would be the best place to ask, if not please move it to another location.
i was jsut playing on MoonGamers BF2 Mostly Oman ip address: 64.34.181.14:16567 . i was flying an f35 and then i crashed because i couldnt avoid the crane. i spawn on the ship again and the admin tells me to take a break from flying. i flew the jet a few times since the round started. i ask why and he says they have a server rule of 2 flights per person per jet or copter. i was just wondering if this could be considered a violation of the BFROE. i looked and i didnt see anything about the amount of time i can fly but there is this

2.3.1 Disallowed “In-House” Ranked Server Rules:

(b) Preventing any players from using certain vehicles such as jets, helicopters or tanks.

would limiting my usage of the jet to 2 times per round be a violation?

Yes that is an absolute violation in my opinion.
I can understand the reasoning behind it if you look from a sharing point of view, but its not allowed as you have stated.
Report it, we have to police ourselves.

Looks like it, but ... and I'm just asking this personally, why continue depriving your team of a valuable asset if you're not going to use it properly? Unless, of course, it was a freak accident and you were owning up, in which case forget my question.

In other words, it's against ROE for him to restrict your vehicle usage, but it's also extremely inconsiderate on your part to hinder your team by wasting an asset. It would still be selfish if you were making good use of the F35... but not as frustrating to the team as a whole.

Agreed, but there are places and times to do so: Moongamers is a popular server and I doubt it was near empty.

Absolutely mate,
If I was on that server (or any that was nearly full) I wouldn't dream of jumping in a jet or helo if they were getting used because I wouldn't be doing the team any favours
My TVG is generally laughable as is my bombing (ALWAYS too late) so I don't bother because someone better than me is being denied the use of it.
Perhaps no-one was using the jets ? Or maybe he didn't think, I don't know, but he shouldn't have been told that he wasn't allowed to use them.

Well now thats finally admined server with rules! And I think he meant two times in a row, not twice in a round. I really would like that written in ROE, a person may have to take break from flying if he can't beat enemy or can't stay airborne for very long. In other words: if someone's still waiting the same jet as when you left, it's his turn. And in fact it doesn't sound like a rule, more like etiquette.

More than beginners taking the jet time after time instead of skilled pilots I hate those who take good pilot's aircraft and cause him to TK them if they don't get it. I don't hesitate to TK people if necessary if I know someone's doing good job and deserves to fly.

Nothing wrong if nobody's flying. Just keep the enemy jets busy shooting at you instead of ground targets if there's nothing else you can do.

I agree that it's against the ROE, but I can absolutely understand why they put it there. And I also think that wasting an asset can be pretty irritating for the rest of the team. In fact, it's EXTREMLY pissing me and other skilled pilot off. I hate to say this, but PLEASE play singleplayer a bit and get used to pilot/gun a chopper or plane. I have met gunners who don't know what the TV is, pilots who don't know what flares are, and bomber-jet-pilots who seriously can't fly.

Moongamers is a stupid server, it has a no uncap attack rule at any time. WTF? Am I supposed to wait for the enemy to come after them losing all their bases?

The worst is the admining over there... Yesterday I was playing over there, and I was in the Essex. I poked a couple shots on the AH-1Z (didn't even get the team damage point) and some moron said "WARNING! Don't destroy friendly vehicles!". Some time later, a MEC guy lands on the carrier and enters in a blackhawk. I destroy the blackhawk (enemy) and got kicked for destroying friendly vehicles.

I'm with Churrasco here. Avoid moongamers like the plague or any other server that has the retarded no attacking uncaps rule.

Seriously, if you're a poor pilot but rock at AT, you could suppress the enemy air power by grounding their jets for a bit. But if a jet gets up, you can no longer do anything about it. As per the BFROE, everyone must do everything they can to help their team and jets should be considered a priority target.

These no attack uncap rules directly handicap a large segment of the population that could be doing their team a great service.

so it's agreed that what the server admin told me is agasint the BFROE. i dont really remember if he said it was 2 times in a row that i was limited or 2 times per round. either way, it is stil against bfroe. just wondering if i should bother reporting the server or if it has already been done. i wish i had taken a screen shot. though i was thinking about it, because i was tired.
